On behalf of the staff of the Cawley Career Education Center, I am pleased to welcome you and your new student to the Georgetown University family. Career counseling, industry and pre-law advising, workshops, on-campus interviewing, employer and alumni networking events, job and internship postings, and on-line job search and company resources. e mission of the Career Center is to provide high-quality career education programs, internship and full-time job opportunities, and networking events that will launch your student into a career. Our mission is founded with Georgetown’s Jesuit values in mind—such as caring for the whole person, facilitating opportunities for service to others, and encouraging student reflection along the way. It is the intersection of the quality of our career programs and the student-focused manner in which they are delivered that makes us unique. rough our on-campus interview program and special employer events, hundreds of companies visit campus to speak with students about internships and full-time job opportunities. ousands of job and internship opportunities across a variety of career fields are available through Hoya Career Connection and iNet (a consortium effort among 11 top schools to connect students with internships). All students have the opportunity to make connections with Georgetown’s many successful alumni through networking and informational programs hosted by the Career Center and Alumni Career Services. Our most valuable resources are people, and we invite you to help us help your Hoya! You may contribute by speaking on campus about your career field, asking your company to consider Georgetown students for internship and full-time opportunities, and encouraging your daughter or son to visit us oſten.
