Creating, printing and mailing patient letters, to securely delivering them online including translating them in up to 40 different languages and allowing the patients to confirm, cancel or re-book their appointments online are just some of the innovative features provided by this solution.Once the communication is sent to the patients, they are notified by email and SMS alerts directing them to the communication.

Alongside the traditional paper based service, our digital solution helps you convert paper based patients to electronic by taking them through an online registration process, which starts with the patients scanning the 2D barcode printed on their personalised letters.

Your benefitsConnect with your patients through the channels they preferHybrid Mail has extended its functionality to offer electronic delivery and management of patient communication via an online portal. This functionality enables you to send out patient letters and appointments electronically, host this communication in an online portal and direct patients to confirm, cancel or re-book their appointments online.

Increase electronic adoption, reduce paper communication You can prompt patients to register with you electronically by getting them to scan a 2D barcode on the letter and directing them to a one-time online registration process. Once complete they can receive, action and retrieve all communications in the self-service online portal. This solution can reduce the cost and resource overhead by enabling patients to self serve themselves.

Reduce Did Not Attend (DNA) rates This solution helps reduce DNA rates by allowing your patients to confirm, cancel or re-book their appointment online. You can re-allocate cancelled appointments quicker, enabling you to save money by reducing the medical time wasted on DNA. The ability for patients to add an appointment directly to their calendar is available by scanning the 2D barcode with a smartphone or tablet.

Use GS1 barcodes to identify patients securely, maintaining patient confidentiality The inclusion of GS1 barcodes on patient communications allows NHS Trusts to automatically and securely identify patients without prompting them to reveal their name, address, patient number or GP information in public when attending a hospital appointment. This significantly reduces Personally Identifiable Information (PII) data breach thereby enhancing patient safety.

The inclusion of GS1 barcodes on patient letters allows care providers to access patients’ medical history accurately, in turn delivering the right clinical treatment.
