Banking is an innovation that aims to revolutionize the way

branch banking is done. It involves a paperless approach

and utilizes tablet based banking, thus making banking

transactions effortless.

Traditional bank branches use teller machines for 1st level

customer interaction that provide tokens and entail long

waiting times. Moreover, paper based systems involve rep-

etition of customer data every time a customer interacts

with a teller. This not only annoys most customers but also

hinders customized interactions from teller’s point-of-view.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Paperless Branch Banking involves implementing tablets at bank branches replacing traditional bulky

queuing machines. A customer at the branch can swipe in her card and move ahead with her trans-

action rather than taking a token and waiting in the queue. She can next authenticate her identity on

the tablet and choose the required product or service. After entering all the transaction related infor-

mation, the customer is provided a system generated E-voucher along with teller details. The token

& transaction information are maintained by the bank for reference. All the transaction related re-

ceipts are sent to the customer through e-mail and SMS. The customer can either choose to com-

plete the entire transaction or move to the assigned teller who already has access to transaction re-

lated details. Thus the teller interacts with the customer with pre-filled forms hence facilitating cus-

tomized interaction and thereby eliminating the use of age old paper based slips and receipts.
