1. Missionary Focus: Pray for Carl & Pat Whitehead, working with Wycliffe Translators: "Since our March newsletter, we've packed up our houses in the village of Akwanja & in Ukarumpa. We spent 2 weeks in England, 2 days in Winnipeg, 2 weeks in Calgary and now we are in Langley, BC, where Carl is consulting in a Grammar Workshop at CanIL (Canada Institute of Linguistics). We praise the Lord: for helping us with final details of getting ready for our furlough year, including the resolution of issues in the village; for providing us with a house in Carstairs, AB after our time at CanIL. Prayer Request: Please pray that we will use this period of home assignment time well, planning time with family, friends and supporters as well as work time, and that we will have times of refreshing, getting the rest we'll need to return to PNG with renewed enthusiasm."

Prayer Requests: -Please pray for Pastor Dale & Sheryl as they travel to MB, July 13-15, to both speak at a church retreat (see details under "This Week @ SEC"). -Pray for Glen Fehr to find a full-time job. Pray also for patience and strength to wait on God and trust in His timing and leading. -Praise the Lord for Myrtle Loeppky's progress to more independence! Please continue to pray for Myrtle as she works at her physio. -Pray for pain management for Aron Fehr. -Continue to pray for Tina Fehr, that she can find relief from pain due to a sciatica nerve issue. Also pray for July 12 appt with her specialist, when results from her lung ct scan will be revealed.

Note from our Council: We have recently completed some revisions to our church constitution & bylaws. As members, you need to be made aware of these changes, and after one year, a vote can be held on whether to adopt them or not. The major changes are as follows: 1) Updating the language and format of our statement of faith. 2) Separating our church constitution from the church bylaws. 3) Updating the language in the document and the structures and processes within our church. The last revision was done in 1990, so some of our boards & committees have changed, etc. To save paper, we'd like to email you a copy of the proposed constitution. Please contact the office in order to receive that. Paper copies can will be made available upon request. Contact the office or any council member with questions.

Help Needed:

Pastor Chris will need volunteers to clean the church and cut grass while he is away on holidays, July 23-Aug 4; please contact the church office.

SEC will be hosting a Children's Lawn Club August 13th-17th. Child Evangelism will provide the leader and SEC needs to provide a host for each day and a snack for each day. If you can help out or for more info talk to Darlene Loewen or Rachel Peters.

Kadesh News: Wrapped up Kids' Week on Friday and today we start with 'Ten - Twelve'. Please pray for these 10-12 year old campers (full camp at 143 campers). Pray for Rachel Hodgman our speaker and for our staff as they have a fresh batch of campers again this week. Also pray for our Leaders in Training (LIT) that start this week. We are thankful for our very full camps and the almost 70 staff and volunteers that help to make each week happen. Even with high registration, Camp Kadesh is still subsidizing the cost of camp by the generous donations of our financial supporters. Would you consider giving to support the mission of Camp Kadesh? We rely on individuals donations to provide about $110,000 in financial support each year. While a very daunting number, it is amazing to see how God provides through donations of all sizes each year. Thanks to those that volunteer, to those that pray, and those that give. Know that God is changing lives this summer through the ministry of Camp Kadesh.
