PRAYER FOCUS - OCTOBER 23, 2016 To activate the Prayer Chain, call: Ruth Wiebe @ 306-931-2982 or Mary Friesen @ 306-382-5865 1. Missions: Pray for Tami Zacharias, serving in Ontario with Operation Mobilization. "I went to Greece expecting to learn about leadership. It was a visit specifically linked to Joshua Journey, the year-long leadership course I’m doing through OM. But as I visited numerous refugee camps and centers, I found the real reason I came. The nameless faces on the news became people with names. People just like me, but with heartbreaking stories of terror and loss. Ministry, and therefore leadership, flows out of who you are, and who I was needed to be shaken and challenged. As much as I wanted to wriggle out of it, I needed to stay in the discomfort. I now have more questions than answers, but what I do know for sure is this: God is still God. God is still exactly who he says he is. God is present with us in all of our struggles, and he understands. This is the Good News I hold tightly when so little makes sense. Prayer & Praise: Praise for my silent retreat, and how God is working in my life. Apart from him, we can do nothing; I believe God is expanding my circle of influence. Pray my ‘width’ would not outstrip my ‘depth’; Pray for those just sent through the GO Conference, and those preparing to go; Pray for more to join OM Canada. We need: Personnel Administrator, Marketing & Brand Manager, Graphic Designer, Personnel Director, Hiring Manager, and finance workers." 2.
