    Course/Instructor:Communication 130 Section 02Cory Kerr

    Programs/Tools:Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:My objective was to create an inspiring image and worked well with a quote, so that I could inspire and enlighten people.

Process: Started off with finding two pictures online to use that I thought would be complementary and would work well together. I chose these Two photos because they both had natural colors like brown and tan in them. Then I went to work in Photoshop and masked the image of Christ and added a quote to go with it.

Description:This is a example of what a brochure could look like for a travel airline.

    Course/Instructor:Communication 130 Section 02Cory Kerr

    Programs/Tools:Adobe Illustrator and InDesign

Objectives:My objective was to create an ad for a made up local charity event that would be appealing to the eye so people would want to help and donate.

Process:So I first started off in Illustrator and created my logo, which I had a lot of fun doing. Then I looked the dimensions of a US passport and started creating the layout of my brochure in InDesign. I then Looked for some picture I could use to put on my passport to make it more interesting. Then I put the body copy on the layout and finished it. If i were to do it differently i would probably not have 250 words on my brochure because I felt like it started to get crowded. Other than that I

really like how this turned out.

  • LogosDate:6/6/15

Description:This is a logo for a Childrens Publishing company that I made up. I wanted to create something that was fun, and easily recognizable for things that relate with children.

    Course/Instructor:Communication 130 Section 02Cory Kerr

    Programs/Tools:Adobe Illustrator

Objectives:My objective was to create a simple yet understandable logo that that people could regonize what it was for.

Process: I started out by sketching out some ideas. The first one I came up with was a bee with a book inside, a fairys wand and a butterfly. I then created them in the adobe illustrator. I used basic shapes and manipulated them and creates a few shapes of my own. When I was gathering votes on which one people liked the best they chose the butterfly. I quickly agreed with them. Then one friend suggested that I turn the wings of butterfly into a boo. I took this advise and added my own twist to it. I created the pages of the book and had the wings in the background to resemble the cover of the book. Overall I had fun with this one.

  • FlyerDate:5/9/15

Description:Here is a flyer I created for a Graduate Leadership conference.

    Course/Instructor:Communication 130 Section 02Cory Kerr

    Programs/Tools:Adobe InDesign

Objectives:My objective was to create a flyer that had all the information needed for the conference and yet was still appealing to the eye with the layout and image.

Process: I first stared off with sketching a couple of ideas and deciding to go with the sketch that was similar to the final product. I used InDesign to create this project. The shape and test tool was used to create each element in the flyer. I used contrast to make this project visually appealing. Also I made sure things were aligned, and flowed throughout.

Process: I used Adobe Illustrator to make my logo and business card. I started off with two rounded squares. For the back of the card i filled it in with the color purple and then added in my logo which was on a white background. for the front of the business card i wanted it to be more simple since the back was full color.
