The Method: Outdoor Explore is built on the theories andprinciples of bush adventure therapy and utilisesoutdoor activities to generate challengingexperiences in the wild using experientialeducation techniques. Outdoor education can beeffective at improving or changing a widenumber of attributes in the participants. Thesecommonly include self esteem, self confidence,team work, leadership, conflict resolution andcommunication skills. Outdoor educationprograms are also thought to be effective atincreasing emotional resilience and socialcompetence.

4. Lunch will be provided weekly andprepared together as a team. 5. Activities include, Bush Walking,Mountain Biking, Abseiling, RockClimbing, Bush Survival and more. 6. We will conclude the last week with acelebration where participants will beawarded with certificates ofcompletion.
Outdoor Explore is an 8-10 week program that has beendeveloped and run in the Blue Mountains for over 15 years
1. We start with an introduction sessionto explain what to expect from theprogram. 2. The program is run across 8-10 weekswith increasing challenges as the groupdevelops. 3. Each week the young people will bepicked up and dropped off at school,unless otherwise arranged.
