Chief Executive of the Wichita Symphony, Wayne Bryant, Producing Artistic Director of Music TheaterWichita, Mike Noller, President and CEO of the Museum of World Treasures, and John D 'Angelo, Director -Division of Arts and Cultural Services for the City of Wichita. With their breadth of knowledge about thefield, they will begin with a brief description of each organization and culminate with an open paneldiscussion featuring pre-designated questions along with open questions from the floor. Don't miss this great opportunity to learn more about nonprofit arts and cultural organizations and the impactthey have on the Wichita community. The luncheon will be held at the Wichita Boathouse, home of the Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, 515 S.Wichita St., from 11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. The cost is $20 for members and $35 for non-members. From Your President....As your new president, I would like to say how excited I am to be a member of the WIBA team, and when Iuse the term WIBA team, I include each and every one of you, our members. I join you in the ranks of thosewho care deeply about individuals who have the courage to start an independent business and nurture itthrough good times and those that are more challenging, to emerge stronger, flourish, provide critical jobs forour citizens and enrich our community in a variety of important ways. My family, including my wife Sherri, our twenty year old daughter Kelsie, and my mother (now deceased),moved to Wichita ten years ago to build our future and we have found a place here that has been incrediblyrewarding. Sherri works for a WIBA member - Integrated Facilities Group - as Sr. Designer and our daughter

has grown up here and is doing well in a great job of her own as a branch manager for another of our fellow WIBA members, FidelityBank. We are part of a growing, thriving community with fantastic new offerings seemingly every day andwith great hope for further growth on the horizon. We just purchased our second property here and enjoy ournew home in the northeast area of the city. I want you to know that I am here to serve you, our members and will do everything within my influence toensure we assist you when you call upon us and that we help to create an environment that encouragesindependent businesses to emerge, grow and prosper. November Educational Seminar A Visit With Your President: Candid Discussions About WIBAWednesday, November 18

Join us as I share more about myself and my vision about where I see WIBA going. The Novembereducational seminar is going to be entitled, "A Visit With Your President:Candid Discussions About WIBA." I'll make a presentation about who I am and where I see WIBA going in the future. Bring your questions andconcerns. I will open the floor to discussion after the presentation. The seminar will be held at the WIBA offices, 200 E. 1st, Ste. 101, from 11:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Lunch willbe provided. Reservations are REQUIRED by the Monday prior to the seminar (Nov. 16). Chairman's Column - November 2015 The new 2015 - 2016 Strategic Plan was introduced to all members in the SeptemberWIBA Issues newsletter. A new mission and vision for the association have beendetermined along with five key strategic objectives.

The board of directors is working diligently on these five key objectives to ensure thatWIBA will continue to provide resources, influence and economic development for independent business.Each objective has a committee assigned to ensure the objectives are reached. Last month we reviewed the first two of the five strategic objectives. This month we will review the last three. Objective #3 - Promote economic development of local and independent businesses.

1. ETF - 30 mentors from WIBA will participate.2. Insure WIBA is included in the City's ED Plan - $125k (matching funds)3. Develop a member outreach program for growth - needs analysis4. Add 3 new resource partners for members - (e.g. succession planning - Kansas Family Business

Forum)5. Keep it local - directory of businesses and services - look for a mobile app
