Los Lonely Boys quickly grabbed the attention of the music world in 2004 when their debut single Heaven became a Top 20 hit, reached the #1 spot on Billboard’s Adult Contemporary chart, won a Grammy Award for Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and was featured in the music video game series, Guitar Hero: On Tour.
Hailing from San Angelo, Texas, Los Lonely Boys are a sibling trio whose music draws equally from Rock, Blues, Tex-Mex, Conjunto, and Tejano. The three Garza brothers play an explosive style of music they often refer to as “Texican Rock n’ Roll.”
While maintaining the infectious mix of bluesy rock ’n’ roll and rootsy brown-eyed soul, their 2014 album Revelation incorporates reggae, baroque pop, and acoustic touches. Get ready as the heart-stopping sound of Los Lonely Boys takes you on an unforgettable musical ride.

In 2007, Sean Carey joined Eau Claire resident Justin Vernon, who was forming a band to take his For Emma, Forever Ago opus on the road. Carey rehearsed drum and vocal parts for the album with Vernon and has been a mainstay of the Grammy Award-winning indie folk band Bon Iver ever since.
Carey has his own band as well. His newest album Range of Light is a dazzling array of musical light and shade, drawn from his love of jazz, modern classical, and Americana.
His chosen musical expression is a serene, restorative panorama of beauty—perfect given how landscape and the wonder of nature inspire much of Carey’s imagery. His music is simultaneously restful and rhythmic, complex and simple, and always evolving. With a performance degree in classical percussion from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, coupled with his love for jazz drumming, prepared him for a central role in a great Wisconsin musical collaboration and successful career.

“It’s a Wonderful Life: Live From WVL Radio Theatre”Sunday, December 6, 2015 – 2:00 pmMonroe Arts CenterGunderson Stiles Concert Hall
This 1940s “live broadcast” of Frank Capra’s beloved film takes us back to the Golden Age of Radio. The fresh new adaptation of the film is set in the fictional studio of WVL Radio Theatre, which is struggling to stay on the air one snowy winter’s night.
Due to a blizzard, the professional voice actors are unable to get through, but the show must go on. A small but intrepid band of employees manage to create the dozens of characters and scenes using just their voices and a sound effects table in order to keep the station afloat. This entertaining and fast-paced, cleverly staged version breathes new life into the poignant story of George Bailey and Bedford Falls, and remains as fresh and relevant as ever.
