o  Think of a time when someone else (e.g., your co-op manger, your

parents/teachers/professors) motivated you to do your best, why were they effective or

ineffective?

o  What outcomes should we care about? What are the criteria we should use to evaluate

effectiveness? Can we apply the criteria from sports to business organizations?

o  Think of a time when you motivated others to do their best, why were you effective?

o  Compare and contrast Coach K, your mentor, your co-op manager, and yourself, what

can you conclude about their personality, motivation, leading and human nature? What

are your preferred theories of motivation?
