Warm season's greetings to all!!College of Nursing is the constituent unit of Pravara Institute of

Medical Sciences (DU), established in 1986, which is self financing college located in rural area of Loni (Bk) village. The college of nursing offers 10 courses in nursing including Master's and Doctoral degree programme. Our vision is to improve the quality of life of the rural people with the mission of service to the rural people, through preparing competent nursing graduates. The college has successfully completed 29 years of nursing education, service; and marching ahead...

The healthcare field is constantly changing and progressing, with new theories on diseases, technological advances, patient care trends, new and revised protocols, medical breakthroughs and research findings. Updating clinical knowledge is a crucial process to ensure that patient receives the most appropriate care in all emergent and in daily practice. Outdated clinical information can result in inconsistent care and poor patient outcome. There are updates and revision of management strategies in relation to Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, cancer, and research etc. there is a need to refresh and uplift the knowledge to render comprehensive and updated care to the diseased.

Nurses have a professional and legal responsibility to update their knowledge and apply that knowledge to the bedside. Nursing practice requires a commitment to continuing education and the ongoing pursuit of the most up-to-date and accurate information available. Understanding this new information should boost the nurse competence, knowledge and skills, which in turn likely will lead to better patient care and positive patient outcomes. Thus the State level conference is planned for the nursing fraternity.
