LEAP: Lane Equity Achievement Project – A grant to bring together African American youth in Lane County
PLC: Professional Learning Community – the name given to groups of teachers and/or learners

The Transformational Team committed to rotating attendance at the five-part PD series included: Nell O’Malley, Elizabeth White, Stacey Lee, Rynda Gregory, Sara Wright, Felicia Reid-Metoyer
The series allowed us to spend team time increasing diversity and cultural competence as we integrate EdTPA, INTASC Standards and the new licensure framework into our programs.
We added the Summer Institute early in the series as a planning goal and a way to apply our learning.
Initial Goals and Attendance
Based on our time in the PD series, we have committed to the following:Use CRT activities to anchor EdTPA and ELP Standards
development across licensure programs throughout all upcoming PD (Summer Institute and beyond).
Offer a 2015 Summer Institute for our local field partners to further CRT in academic language development in schools and teacher preparation.
Choose learning goals for 2015-16 asking Summer Institute participants to focus on one Common Core goal and track CRT development through a pre and post assessment (September and June).
Infuse CRT into planned EdTPA PD for Licensure Faculty 2015-16
Applied Learning

Shorter experience (than 2014) targeted for limited geographic area
