LMT introduction: LMT used for RNO mainly is parameter modify, include batch

parameter modify.

How to modify one cell RNO parameter: Right click the cell name in the tree, then select the according menu

How to batch modify cell parameter, there are two way tobatch modify parameter in LMT.

Using the Configure Cell parameters in Batches menu for batch

modify.

Using the Import Network Optimization Parameter menu forbatch modify

The different between the above two ways is the interface.

One using the Excel / txt file for input, One using the pop

window for input.

Then in the pop window select the file which you designed.

Pay attention to that:

The cell Index and cell name must be right

The row of parameter name must also be right, if you cant sure

the name, you can first export and modify ,then input parameter How many parameter you can batch modify once is no limit, but

be sure that the parameter value is right, carefully check it.

LMT

Disadvantage of the LMT batch modify:

Some parameter cant be batch modify: such as GPRS support,

EDGE support and some routing area info.

All the TRX level parameter and Channel level parameter cant

be batch modify

Some interrelated parameter, such as BCCH, BSIC , if the cell is

also other BSC external cell, using LMT cant auto synchronizeother BSC external cell info.

We should using MML solving the above two problems,

and only CME can solve the third problem

MML

MML is only used for batch modify, if you only modify litterparameter, LMT is good and convenient.

Both MML maintenance terminal and M2000 integration MML tools

can be used for MML execute;

Normally, we should first validate all MML command by MML

maintenance terminal, then online for execute the MML batch

configuration

The different of MML LMT and M2000 is in the M2000, you can deal

with all the BSC which M2000 managed while MML LMT only one

BSC.

The following is the demo of MML command which modify

one channel of the cell: test-1 to dynamic PDCH channel:

MOD CHAN: IDXTYPE=BYNAME, CELLNAME="Test-1",

TRXBN=1, CHNO=6, CHTYPE=DPDCH,

GPRSCHPRI=EGPRSPRICH, TSPRIORITY=1;

We can get all field explain by read the help area, in fact,

If we want to change all TS6 in all cells to dynamic

PDCH ,Its our responsibility to configure such MML

command.
