Stages of
developmentDouble page spread
First stage…To start with I followed my house style by having a light blue
background with a purple tilted square to make sure the background
isn’t too plain, I then added in the photo of James and added a white
border to it so make it stand out some more. I then put in the title of the
article, I put the word exclusive in there so the readers feel they are
reading something that no one else will be. I wrote James’ name in
black so that his name stands
out to make him look more
important. The last bit of this
stage was added in the page
number, just a simple white
circle with the number written
in it, I had to make sure that I
left enough room for text if it
came towards that side of the
page.
Second stage
Next, I had to think about what to include in the article, so I
researched pop magazine double page spread articles and
concluded that the majority are questions asked by the public and the
stars answering them, so that’s what I decided to do.
I thought of lots of questions
that I thought the fans would
want to ask, such as things
from their most recent tour
or their inspiration, love life was
a majorly popular question.
I made sure I included
questions to do with all of
these things.
Third stageIn the last stage, there wasn’t a lot left to do. I thought that the
top left corner was too plain and empty, so I added another
photo of James with a white border and placed it there. I did it
in this space because when people fold the page down the
middle, they don’t want to see just text, so now, whichever
way they fold it, there will always be a picture
