vJAGNER'S 'rJIIIRL&&JINDS DUST EVANS' ERUPTERS~ 30-12

On Sunday, November 2nd, the Porsche Sediment Bowl was played. The cool, crisp autumn afternoon found Bob ':Jagner's 'r, 'hirlwinds and Gary Evans' Erupters warming up for the battle. Sharon Evans and Dottie Zieber were seen serving refreshments during the pre-game warm-up.

The first half i-ot uncierway with the opening boot by Marv Fisher. After Evans' Erupters failed to malce the first down, . Ja ner's . Jhirl- winds took over possession of the ball. VJith fantastic blocking by Gary Harr. ilton, Bob ', Jagner ran 30 yards for the first touchdown of the afternoon. Gary Evans then zeroed in on Jim Gaeta with a pass to tie the score at the end of the first half.

Barbara Rose was rooting so enthusiastically that, she b" oke a strap. Linda Lohse, who is always prepare&A for such emergencies, came to her rescue with a ciaper pin — — which helped relieve Barbara's sinking feeling.

Half-time entertainment vras provi&'ed by Thor 'r!agner, Fritz Spear, Ricky Har cock, Tom Scott's labrador puppy, Milce Evans, Stevie Carleton, anil Dean Tedford. It mu"-, t be note! that t' he Carleton's did a truly reat Job of leaciing tl. e rooting section& «rhich &ras comprised mostly of exnectant ladies. The Eructers spent half-time do&ming liquid refreshment and plotting future attacks — — using pennies to show the plays! The ', Jhirlwinds acteci in a imilar m~er.

The second half got underway with Bob lagner firing a tov&chdown strike to Bob

Garretson, who made a terrific catch in t' he end zone. Great line support, i&as given th"ou;ho«t

ne game by Dick Zieber and Alc» Lilley of the Erupters. ;Jith the i!h'rl;&in &s bein. =, dupeci by end Bob Lol. se, Gary Ev. ns mare'. ec& his club &Io&;a- field. ~ci. &. ired pass to end Jir. Gae!. a to oring the score to 1o — 12. M, rv Fisher wa . seen breaking training by sinolcing a cigaret while in the hu&d:!le for the next play.

The r ext nlay found Slippery-Fingered Spear in the end zone &rith a scoring p ss on its way. '=-o. . . ever, Dick lived un tc his nic!cnarre and fumbled the b 11! I As time ::as called, the Scotts and Riggs could be seen joining the rooting section unde' the b~ " PCA banner.

Gluttons 'or i;uni h:ent — — and reinforced by licuid refre. h~ ent — — the two te=ms c!ecided to go HQLi er hali'. Jack Te&'ford frori the start

of the game was destined to be on the irinning team, since he playeci center for both the !&Jhirlwinds and the Erupters.

And so the third half got underway &rith the ' agner-Garretson combo, aided by Gary Hamilton and Marv Fisher, scorir g another TD. In the final minutes oi' the game, &. J gner skirted Gary Evans and Bob Lohse to score thc final touchdown of the afternoon. Mary Ann Tedfordi and Candy '. Jagner led the final cheer.

The teams' thanlcs go out to Dave I'. ancock for doing such a fine job as the g, . me official.

This month we' ve added t':ro ne. r family members to the clubl Phil and Alice Loch became the proud parents of little Jamie Ann on October 21st, and Bill and Pat Weitzel were delighted to welcome Bryan William on Nov. 19th. Heartiest congratulations to both familiesll

We were sorry to learn that we' ll soon be losing Ray Ziegler. He's moving to England sometime in the near future — — and we' re surely going to miss the heavy autocrossing foot he has practiced so diligently to develop.

A recent release ind. icates that two basic models of the Audi will soon be aprearing at the ne, r I orsche-Audi dealerships. One is the Super 90 (surprisel), which will be available in 2-door and 4-door and station sragon borly styles. The other is the 100LS, which ";rill be available in 2-door and 4-door styles only, I hope you' ll all come to the annual Christmas bash and help inaugurate the brand near San Jose Holirlay Inn. This is one meet'n- you DOIJ'T want to miss!III
