During the week of October 23, CCOE assistant professor, Dr. Allison Mattheis and Dr. Tasha Willis, assistant professor, School of Social Work, presented workshops for over 100 Colombian university personnel and faculty in the cities of Bogotá, Calí, Medellín, and Cartagena. Titled "Trabajar con estudiantes interculturales de primera generación: Pedagogías inclusivas e interseccionales," the day-long events were designed to engage participants in dialogue about intra- and inter-group diversity. As access to postsecondary education expands as part of the country's ongoing peace-building process, this dialog is key. Drs. In September, Dr. Michele Wallace was pleased to report that all of the CCOE students in the MS in Counseling with a focus on ABA who took the BCBA exam passed. The BCBA exam is the international exam that certifies individuals as Board Certified Behavior Analysts from the Behavior Analysis Certification Board.

Generally the pass rate for first time takers averages in the low to mid 60%, whereas all of the CCOE students who took the exam in August passed at 100%.

MS in Counseling with a focus on ABA is designed for students who want to work in case management, behavioral consultancy, or in a more conventional role providing ABA therapy. This degree also prepares students who may want to go on to pursue a doctoral degree in behavior analysis.

Additionally, the CCOE program was recognized in the Top 20 programs around the world from an independent evaluation organization (ABAedu.org). Congratulations to the ABA faculty and students!
