BALANCE Today's scriptures emphasize the fun-damental link between love of God and love of our neighbors, especially those who are most in need. Love of God should compel us to love the people whom God cherishes. Conversely, work for justice and charity for those in need should be rooted in our love of God. That connection and balance, however, isn't always easy to maintain in our lives. Even in religious orders we find that some Christians are more oriented toward contemplation and prayer, while others are more active in reach-ing out to those who are oppressed. EQUILIBRIO Las lecturas bíblicas de hoy recalcan el lazo fundamental que existe entre el amor de Dios y el amor al prójimo, es-pecialmente a los más necesitados. El amor de Dios debe impulsarnos a amar a la gente a quien Dios aprecia. A la in-versa, el trabajo por la justicia y la cari-dad en pro de los necesitados debe estar enraizado en nuestro amor a Dios. Sin embargo, esa conexión y equilibrio no son siempre fáciles de mantener en nuestra vida. Aun en las órdenes religi-osas hallamos a algunos cristianos más orientados hacia la contemplación y la oración, mientras que otros son más activos en su servicio a los oprimidos. Sách Giáo lý Công giáo

- Ấn bản mới

“Ấn bản mới” của sách Giáo lý Hội thánh Công giáo là “một trợ giúp tuyệt vời để ngày càng hiểu biết hơn về mầu nhiệm đức tin,” Đgh. Phanxicô đã viết như trên trong phần giới thiệu ấn bản đặc biệt này.

Đài phát thanh Vatican tiếng Ý cho biết: cuốn sách được trình lên Đức giáo hoàng ngày 11 tháng Mười 2017, nhân dịp kỷ niệm 25 năm Thánh giáo hoàng Gioan Phaolô II ban hành tông hiến Fidei Depositum và công bố sách Giáo lý Hội thánh Công giáo. Sách do tập đoàn San Paolo và nhà xuất bản Vatican xuất bản. Ngoài phần giới thiệu của Đức giáo hoàng, còn có lời tựa của Tgm. Rino Fisichella, chủ tịch Hội đồng Toà thánh về Tân Phúc âm hóa, và một chú giải mới về thần học mục vụ do 40 chuyên gia soạn thảo.

Sách này, Đức giáo hoàng viết, là “trung gian” để “thúc đẩy và trợ giúp các giáo hội địa phương trên toàn thế giới trong việc Phúc âm hoá, như một công cụ hiệu quả cho việc đào tạo, đặc biệt các linh mục và giáo lý viên”.

Đức giáo hoàng viết tiếp: Giáo lý Hội thánh Công giáo “là một hành trình qua bốn giai đoạn, giúp chúng ta nắm được tính năng động của đức tin. Hành trình khai mở với mong ước của mọi người mang trong lòng mình nỗi khát khao Thiên Chúa và kết thúc với lời cầu nguyện như biểu hiện của một cuộc gặp gỡ trong đó con người và Thiên Chúa nhìn nhau, nói với nhau và lắng nghe nhau. Đời sống ân sủng, được trình bày cách đặc biệt trong bảy bí tích, và đời sống của người tín hữu như một ơn gọi sống theo Thánh Thần, là hai giai đoạn khác, cần thiết để hiểu được toàn bộ căn tính của người tín hữu như một môn đệ truyền giáo của Chúa Giêsu Kitô”.

Đức giáo hoàng kết luận: “Tôi hy vọng sách này sẽ được mọi người biết đến và sử dụng để phát huy hơn nữa di sản đức tin lớn lao của hai ngàn năm lịch sử của chúng ta”.
