¬ the Hatiens Holiday The committee who have in charge- the arrangements for the fourth of July celebration are quite active and i are hopeful that it will be the biggest day in point of visiting strangers ever recorded in the annals of our city Invitations have been issued to all neighboring municipalities and it is believed that Ocala will have visitors from as far as Tampa on the south and SE0BOA3D A Number of Passengers Injured Physicians Hasten to Scene of Disaster- At four oclock Saturday morning- the south bound Seaboard Air Line passenger train front Jacksonville- was wrecked at Santos a few miles south of this city The accident was caused by the Pullman coach parting- the switch and turning a complete somersault derailing several of the other cars Quite a number of the passengers were hurt some only slightly but several were badly hurt Mr George Holden soliciting agent- for the G S R F railway had his head scalped and was also hurt in in the chest He is now at the Ocala House Mr Odum of Turkey Creek had his collar bone broken and was hurt about the head He was brought to the hospital- Mr G B Tankersly of Coleman- was hurt about the head He went- on to his home- Conductor Carter who had charge- of the train and several of the other passengers were slightly injured Several Ocala physicians were sum ¬ moned to the scene of the wreck and cared for the injured- As soon as possible the train was made up and proceeded to Tampa I Ilr W W Harralson of Troy Alabama was among the passengers I and gives a very graphic account of he wreck He says that for a while I it looked as thpngh none could es- t ¬ cape the seats lamps and window I glass was flying in all directions Quite a number received bad cuts from the falling glass j Mr B B King of this city was- I ¬ licious five oclock teas and several different kinds of Heintzs 57 varie ¬ ties of pickles preserves etc The tea demonstration was a very pleasant one and was worthy of am ¬ bitious young grocerymen- At Lovers Lane There will be a picnic at Lovers Lane two miles east of Citra July 21 Everybody is invited to attend and bring well filled baskets Miss Edith Bachelder of Ocala who has been A Number of Passengers InjuredPhysicians Hasten to Scene of

Disaster-

At four oclock Saturday morning-

the south bound Seaboard Air Linepassenger train front Jacksonville-

was wrecked at Santos a few milessouth of this city The accident wascaused by the Pullman coach parting-the switch and turning a completesomersault derailing several of theother cars

Quite a number of the passengerswere hurt some only slightly butseveral were badly hurt

Mr George Holden soliciting agent-for the G S R F railway had hishead scalped and was also hurt inin the chest He is now at the OcalaHouse

Mr Odum of Turkey Creek hadhis collar bone broken and was hurtabout the head He was brought tothe hospital-

Mr G B Tankersly of Coleman-was hurt about the head He went-on to his home-

Conductor Carter who had charge-of the train and several of the otherpassengers were slightly injured

Several Ocala physicians were sum ¬

moned to the scene of the wreck andcared for the injured-

As soon as possible the train wasmade up and proceeded to Tampa
