He is survived by wife Judy (Kelley) Adams, of Bardwell; a son Ross Adams, of Oahu, Hawaii; step father Lonnie Swindle, of Wimberley, Texas; a step daughter Kimia Othick, of Solana Beach, Calif.; a step son, Shar Etebar, of El Cerrito, Calif.; a brother Lee Swindle, of Padre Island, Texas; four grandchildren; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his father Bill Adams; his mother Billie (Siegel) Swindle; and a daughter Mary Jane Adams. Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. July 29 at the Bardwell Baptist Church Christian outreach Center, Hwy 51, Bardwell, with the Rev. Frank Queen officiating. David Karl Hochbaum David Karl Hochbaum, 91, of Bandana, and Hollywood, Fla., died July 26 at Lourdes Hospital, Paducah. He was born Sept. 30, 1920, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to the late Abraham and Ruth Nadler Hochbaum. He lived in Boston until he joined the United States Army during World War II, where for three years he worked at the E.N.T. Clinic as a medic. He spent the majority of his adult years in the Atlanta area. He was an avid bowler, participating in the Jewish Men’s League of Atlanta for many years. After moving to South Florida, David bowled in a senior league until he was 90 years old. He was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox. Surviving are his wife, Ruth V. Colvin Meacham Hochbaum; two daughters, Helene (Norman) Oleesky of Melbourne, Fla., and Joanne (Larry) Lutzker of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Alan Hochbaum of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandsons, Michael Elis of Melbourne, Fla., and Brian Carl Elis of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three great- grandchildren, Gabriel Elis, Haley Elis and David Elis; two sisters, Lillian Feldberg of Massachusetts and Selma Horovitz of Florida.
