These key attributes are what Asia’s leading minds possess and what we are looking for in this year’s BioPharma Asia Industry Awards. The 6th awards gala dinner will be a celebration that will recognize ten organizations for their significant contributions and achievements in Asia’s burgeoning biologics industry as well as for their passion to better shape the global biopharmaceutical operation value chain

Eight award categories

ProceduresStarting from 7 December 2015, the industry is free to nominate an organization/individual per category. Nominations will close 13 Jan 2016 (Wednesday). Voting will resume on 21 Jan 2016 till 6 March 2016. The results will be announced during the BioPharma Asia 2016 Industry Award Party (23 March 2016).

To improve transparency of the voting system, a total of 14 judging panelists from different aspect of the biopharmaceutical industry will decide on criteria when shortlisting top 5 organizations and individuals nominated. The followings are the judging panelists who have contributed their precious time in advising the conference direction and deciding on the winners for the industry awards:

This award aims to recognize the best contract research organization that has demonstrated an ongoing commitment to improve their clinical research services in Asia and in reducing lead times for its customers. The CRO must demonstrate an end-to-end suite of solutions to customers and demonstrate outstanding thought leadership in spearheading clinical research innovations and raising the bar of clinical research standards in the region.

- The range of services provided in niche and core therapeutic areas- Methods of performance improvement or introduction of new services to Asia - Attention to and quality of relationships with clients in Asia - Reaching of milestones and final / ongoing outcomes - Building and maintaining existing and long term partnerships in Asia

This award aims to recognize the best logistics service provider serving the life science industry in Asia. The award recipient must have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to improve their service excellence standards and partnerships with various stakeholders of the life science sector. As life science companies increasingly turn to outsourcing with logistics service providers to enhance business operations, the winning life science LSP must possess an end-to-end suite of customized solutions for its customers and demonstrate thought leadership in raising the bar of service excellence delivery and effective operational standards in Asia.

Companies will be judged on the following criteria:

- Range of services provided in niche and core service delivery areas - Methods of performance improvement or introduction of new services to Asia - Attention to and quality of relationships with clients in Asia - Delivery of service excellence and efficient operational standards - Building and maintaining existing and long term partnerships in Asia

2. Best Logistics Services Award

This award aims to recognise the best solution provider that has demonstrated commitment in improving their drug manufacturing services (both upstream and downstream) in Asia. The solution provider must have a strong customer base in Asia and demonstrate outstanding thought leadership in spearheading innovations to meet clients' needs in the region. Quality assurance and control, adoption of innovative technology and equipment, and efficiency will be the main criteria.

Companies will be judged on the following criteria:

- The range of services provided in the biopharmaceutical manufacturing sector- Methods of performance improvement or introduction of new services to Asia- Attention to and quality of relationships with clients in Asia- Reaching of milestones and final/ ongoing outcomes- Building and maintaining existing and long term partnerships in Asia

3. Best Manufacturing Technology Award

Judging Panellists:

This award aims to promote the development of novel drugs in Asia. Be it a biosimilar, generic or orphan drug, the drug must have addressed a critical medical need in Asia.

The drug will be judged on the following criteria:

- Targeted innovative efforts towards developing novel drugs - Range of programs and efforts dedicated for disease prevention and treatment in Asia - Contribution to improving public health in Asia - Commitment to developing drugs for Asia’s needs - Partnerships with NGOs and country governments to improve Asia community health programs - Achievements made with regards to company’s dedication to the region

4. 2016’s Drug Breakthrough

The vaccine will be judged on the following criteria:

- Targeted innovative efforts towards developing novel drugs- Range of programs and efforts dedicated for disease prevention and treatment in Asia- Contribution to improving public health in Asia- Commitment to developing drugs for Asia’s needs- Partnerships with NGOs and country governments to improve Asia community health programs- Achievements made with regards to company’s dedication to the region

5. 2016’s Vaccine Breakthrough

- Targeted innovative efforts towards developing novel drugs- Range of programs and efforts dedicated for disease prevention and treatment in Asia- Commitment to developing drugs for Asia’s needs- Achievements made with regards to company’s dedication to the region

6. 2016’s Antibody Breakthrough

This person has exhibited visionary leadership and shown a commitment to leading and communicating change, building partnerships, portraying business acumen and producing optimal results. The nominee must play a significant role in the Asia region and has exhibited these qualities during the 12 months prior to the congress date.

Qualities:

- Degree of outstanding commitment to disease prevention and treatment - Level of exemplary leadership throughout the year - Contribution to company performance, communication and vision - Influence within the Asia’s pharmaceutical industry - Achievements made with regards to company positioning and status

7. Pharma Executive of the Year Award

Judging Panellists:

This award aims to promote and drive change through the adoption of innovative technologies to develop novel drugs. This company must have exemplified an expansive and agile approach in their drug development. The company will also be evaluated based on how the organization has implemented new processes, technology or applications that create quantifiable and sustainable results in the drug development process.

Companies will be judged on the following criteria:

- Developed a code of conduct/standards for its own organization that target innovative efforts towards developing novel drugs - Unconventional best practices that demonstrate business progress and successful integration of business functions and resource optimization - Creative ways of collaboration with external suppliers to jointly develop and strengthen relationships - Pioneering initiatives with measurable components - Results are evaluated against KPIs

8. Asian Biotech of the Year Award
