Ergonomics & Operator Comfort

T-style, adjustable steer headcombined with cushioned platformand fully padded compartment provide an impressive workplace toachieve maximum operator comfortand reduced fatigue resulting in sustained productivity. The steerhead’s wide, 190º steering arc allowsfor precise maneuvering in tightspaces with minimal effort. Itsergonomic layout of soft touchswitches includes two large thumb-actuated butterfly speed controls forsimple operation.

Roomy, low profile compartment (8.8"platform height) permits easyentry/exit and walk-through. A cushioned platform mat providesadded comfort.

The truck’s standard coast controloffers increased efficiency by allowingthe truck to coast for more efficientorder picking. Actuated by switchesconveniently located on either side ofthe control head, the sidetracker feature allows the operator to walkbeside the truck while performinglow-level order picking, for greater efficiency and productivity.

Efficient Performance

Heavy-duty 5.2Hp, brushless, three-phase AC drive motor provideshigh power and torque to handletough applications, with peak performance throughout the batteryrange. Longer run times per batterycharge are achieved by using lessenergy per cycle.

For enhanced efficiency, its advancedmotor controller/AC inverter electronically delivers power, asneeded, to the AC drive motor. Thissystem offers programmable regenerative neutral braking and proportional plugging. Its AC designeliminates forward and reverse contactors, and features electronictravel speed control for precise, efficient performance.

Optional Multi-Function LCD Display

An optional multi-function LCD display offers PIN codes to restricttruck access, selectable performancemodes for customized productivity,and a battery discharge indicator withgraphic representation of remainingbattery charge. Plus, with its on-board diagnostics, troubleshooting,and adjustment, a service tech canmake adjustments and perform maintenance without the need for aseparate handset tool.

Smart Electric Brake

Electrical braking system utilizesregenerative motor torque prior to discbrake actuation, for less componentwear and longer life. The spring-applied/electronically released discbrake system eliminates neededadjustments, for reduced maintenance.The service/park brake can be activated by pressing either brake button on the steer head.

Automatic Jaw Coupler

The standard heavy-duty automaticjaw coupler is equipped with a foot-operated release pedal, locatedinside the operator compartment.Optional couplers are also available(see page 2 for details).

Wheels

Wide drive and trail wheels offerincreased floor surface contact andstring guards help prevent debris fromgetting into axles and bearings.

Drive Unit Assembly

Vertically-mounted, balanced drivesystem with drive motor, transmissionand drive tire, reduces steer effort andprevents unbalanced torque conditions. Quiet, spiral beveled geardrive system with sealed ball bearings,provides solid performance with lowsteer effort. Five-nut removal of thedrive tire simplifies replacement whenneeded.

Ease of Maintenance

Brushless AC drive motor uses fewercomponents and requires less maintenance for lower operatingcosts. Easily accessible, rotationsensing encoder is externally mounted on the drive motor for simplified replacement. Motor andcontroller feature thermal protection

system to slow or shut down truck inresponse to high temperatures.

Digital CAN communication betweenthe controller and steer head reducesthe number of wires in the steer headharness, for reduced maintenance.Hall Effect speed and accelerationcontrol sensor simplifies maintenanceand limits downtime due to its non-contact design, with no mechanicalwiping action, potentiometers, orheaters. Onboard diagnostics simplifies maintenance.

One-piece cover removal makesaccess to the drive unit, and majorcomponents quick and easy. All lubrication fittings are easily accessible with the truck upright.

Environmental

All components are designed to withstand wet, cold and/or freezerapplications to -20º F (-28.9º C). Themain controller features an ingressprotection rating of IP65 against dustand moisture intrusion.
