En aquel tiempo, Jesús dijo a sus discípulos: "No te-mas, rebañito mío, porque tu Padre ha tenido a bien darte el Reino. Vendan sus bienes y den limosnas. Consíganse unas bolsas que no se destruyan y acumulen en el cielo un tesoro que no se acaba, allá donde no

llega el ladrón, ni carcome la polilla. Porque donde está su tesoro, ahí estará su corazón. Estén listos, con la túnica puesta y las lámparas en-cendidas. Sean semejantes a los criados que están esperando a que su señor regrese de la boda, para abrirle en cuanto llegue y toque. Dichosos aquellos a quienes su señor, al llegar, en-cuentre en vela. Yo les aseguro que se recogerá la túnica, los hará sentar a la mesa y él mismo les servirá. Y si llega a me-dianoche o a la madrugada y los encuentra en vela, dichosos ellos. Fíjense en esto: Si un padre de familia supiera a qué hora va a venir el ladrón, estaría vigilando y no dejaría que se le metiera por un boquete en su casa. Pues también ustedes estén preparados, porque a la hora en que menos lo piensen vendrá el Hijo del hombre''. Entonces Pedro le preguntó a Jesús: "¿Dices esta parábola sólo por nosotros o por todos?" El Señor le respon-dió: "Supongan que un administrador, puesto por su amo al frente de la servidumbre, con el encargo de repartirles a su tiempo los alimentos, se porta con fidelidad y prudencia. Di-choso este siervo, si el amo, a su llegada, lo encuentra cum-pliendo con su deber. Yo les aseguro que lo pondrá al frente de todo lo que tiene. Pero si este siervo piensa: 'Mi amo tarda-rá en llegar' y empieza a maltratar a los criados y a las criadas, a comer, a beber y a embriagarse, el día menos pensado y a la hora más inesperada, llegará su amo y lo castigará severamen-te y le hará correr la misma suerte que a los hombres deslea-les. El servidor que, conociendo la voluntad de su amo, no haya preparado ni hecho lo que debía, recibirá muchos azotes; pero el que, sin conocerla, haya hecho algo digno de castigo, recibirá pocos. Al que mucho se le da, se le exigirá mucho, y al que mucho se le confía, se le exigirá mucho más''.

Queremos agradecer a todos nuestros feligreses y amigos que asistieron a la venta de comida del día domingo, 4 de agosto. Especialmente gra-cias las siguientes Comunidades: Virgen de Guadalupe, Divino Maestro, Sagrada Familia, Santa Cruz, y Coro Santa Cecilia que estuvieron a cargo de hacer los preparativos y cocinar.

El padre Waldemar Latkowski se unió a la orden religiosa de la Congregación de los Redentoristas en septiembre de 1990. Fue orde-nado sacerdote en 1997. Trabajó republicando el Homo Dei en Cra-covia. Desde 2002, había estado actuando como secretario de la provincia en Varsovia. En octubre de 2004 comenzó su ministerio en

los Estados Unidos. Primero fue capellán en el hospital de Manville, NJ. Desde el 13 de junio de 2006 estuvo invo-lucrado en trabajo pastoral en Perth Amboy, NJ primero como vicario parroquial, luego como pastor. Hasta ahora era el pastor de 3 parroquias: St. Stephens (desde 2008) St. Mary (desde 2010), Nuestra Señora del Rosario de Fátima (administrador desde 2011) y la Parroquia San Juan Pablo II (la parroquia se formó a partir de una fusión de las parroquias enumeradas) desde 2012. Terminó su ministerio en Perth Amboy el 21 de julio de 2019. Duran-te 13 años organiza un campamento de verano para fami-lias titulado "Vacaciones con Dios". Además de todo esto, el Padre Waldemar trabajó como capellán de una prisión y dirigió muchos grupos de oración para jóvenes y adul-tos.

Anuncios Parroquiales 11 de agosto de 2019 ría fue el mayor milagro y la fuente de su grandeza, pero Dios no coronó a María por su sola la maternidad, sino por sus virtudes: su caridad, su humildad, su pureza, su paciencia, su mansedumbre, su perfecto homenaje de ado-ración, amor, alabanza y agra-decimiento. María cumplió perfectamente con la voluntad de Dios en su vida y eso es lo que la llevó a llegar a la gloria de Dios. En la Tierra todos queremos llegar a Dios y en esto trabajamos todos los días. Esta es nuestra esperanza. María ya ha alcanzado esto. Lo que ella ha alcanzado nos anima a noso-tros. Lo que ella posee nos sirve de esperanza. María tuvo una enorme confianza en Dios y su corazón lo tenía lleno de Dios. Ella es nuestra Madre del Cielo y está dispuesta a ayudarnos en todo lo que le pidamos.

El jueves 15 de agosto vamos a celebrar la Misa en la Solemni-dad de la Asunción de la Virgen María al cielo a las 8:15AM y a las 8:00 PM, no se les olvide traer sus flores y hierbas para la bendición.

La Asunción es un mensaje de esperanza que nos hace pensar en la dicha de alcanzar el Cielo, la gloria de Dios y en la alegría de tener una madre que ha alcanzado la meta a la que nosotros caminamos. Este día, recordamos que María es una obra maravillosa de Dios. Concebida sin pecado original, el cuerpo de María estuvo siempre libre de pecado. Era totalmente pura. Su alma nunca se crrompió. Su cuerpo nunca fue mancha-do por el pecado, fue siempre un templo santo e inmaculado. También, tenemos presente a Cristo por todas las gracias que derramó sobre su Madre María y cómo ella supo responder a éstas. Ella alcanzó la Gloria de Dios por la vivencia de las virtu-des. Se coronó con estas virtudes. La maternidad divina de Ma-

To ewangeliczny program na życie, którego cel wy-znaczył Bóg, a środki do niego prowadzące dobie-ramy dzięki wolności i rozumowi oświecanemu przez Ducha Świętego. Komu wiele dano, od tego wiele wymagać się będzie, mówi Chrystus do uczniów. Dar życia, otrzymane talenty, a przede wszystkim ofiara Odkupiciela są dla nas wezwa-niem do służby. One podnoszą nasze człowieczeń-stwo i potwierdzają naszą godność dzieci Bożych.

O. Waldemar Łątkowski wstąpił do Zgromadzenia Najświętszego Odkupiciela czyli zakonu redemptorys-tów we wrześniu 1990 roku. Śluby zakonne złożył w 1993 roku, a święcenia kapłańskie przyjął w 1997. Pracował nad reaktywacją wydawnictwa Homo Dei w Krakowie. Od 2002 pełnił funkcję sekretarza

Prowincjała w Warszawie. W październiku 2004 roku rozpoczął posługę kapłańską na terenie USA. Najpierw pełnił funkcję kapelana w szpitalu w Manville, NJ, a od 13 czerwca 2006 roku zajmował się pracą duszpasterską w Perth Amboy, NJ najpierw jako wikary, a następnie pr boszcz. Dotychczas pełnił funkcje proboszcza w trzech par-afiach: św. Szczepana (od 2008r.), St. Mary (od 2010r.), Our Lady of Rosary of Fatima (administrator od 2011r.) oraz św. Jana Pawła II (parafia powstała z połączenia wcześniej wymienionych) od 2012r. do 21 lipca 2019. Przez 13 lat jest organizatorem tygodnio-wych wyjazdów dla dzieci i młodzieży "Wakacje z Panem Bogiem" W swojej pracy duszpasterskiej pomagał jako kapelan policji, służył pomocą w duszpasterstwie więziennym oraz prowadził wiele grup modlitewnych.

Wniebowzięcie N.M.P. 15 sierpnia

Kult Maryi Wniebowziętej był w Kościele bardzo ży-wy i zdecydowanie wyróżniał się wśród wielu innych. Wystawiono tysiące świątyń pod wezwaniem Matki Bożej Wniebowziętej. W ciągu wieków powstało 8 za-konów pod tym wezwaniem: 1 męski (asumpcjoniści - Augustianie od Wniebowzięcia) i 7 żeńskich. W ikono-grafii scena Wniebowzięcia Maryi należy do bardzo często przedstawianych (dla przykładu: Fra Angelico - w kilku obrazach, Taddeo di Bartolo, Ottaviano Nelli, Giotto, Pinturicchio, C. Bellini, Raffael, Tycjan, Tintoretto, Tiepolo, Perugi-no, Procaccini, Filippino Lippi, Veronese, Murillo, Velasquez, Konrad von Go-est; rzeźbiarze: Liberale da Verona, L. della Robbia, Michał Pacher, Wit Stwosz). Pod opiekę Maryi Wniebowziętej oddał Wę-gry król św. Stefan, a Fran-cję - król Ludwik XIII (powtórzył to także Ludwik XV). W polskiej (i nie tylko) tradycji święto Wniebowzięcia N.M.P. zwane jest również świętem Matki Bożej Ziel-nej. Na pamiątkę podania głoszącego, że Apostołowie zamiast ciała Maryi znaleźli kwiaty, poświęca się kwia-ty, zioła i kłosy zbóż. Lud wierzy, że zioła poświęcone w tym dniu za pośrednictwem Maryi otrzymują moc leczniczą i chronią od chorób i zarazy. Rolnicy tego dnia dziękują Bogu za plony ziemi i ziarno, które ze-brali z pól. Zapraszamy na Mszę św. w Uroczystość Wniebowzię-cia N.M.P. w języku polskim o godzinie 6:30 PM. Przypominamy że w tym dniu mamy obowiązek być na Mszy św. You also must be prepared, for at an hour you do not expect, the Son of Man will come.

Background on the Gospel Reading

Jesus' instructions on how to be ready for the com-ing judgment continue in the stories and sayings found in today's Gospel. We are not to be like the greedy rich man in last Sunday's Gospel who planned to store his great har-vest in barns rather than share it. We are, rather, to share our wealth with those in need. The antidote for the anxiety brought on by the coming judgment is to relinquish our possessions and provide for the needs of others. Our treas-ure will be in heaven where it will not wear out or be de-stroyed. The other major way to be ready for the coming judgment is to be watchful. In Luke's Gospel, Jesus tells a parable about watchfulness to begin making this point. We must be like servants waiting for the master's return from a wedding banquet, which, even now, can last for a few days in the Middle East. We must be watchful so that even if the master comes after midnight, we will be ready for him. This is what the coming of the Son of Man will be like. Peter asks if this parable is meant for the apostles or for the large crowd that has gathered to listen to Jesus. Without answering Peter's question, Jesus responds with another parable about servants awaiting the return of their master. It begins with a question: “Who, then, is the faith-ful and prudent steward whom the master will put in charge of his servants to distribute the food allowance at the proper time?” This parable adds to the theme of watch-fulness; it explains how to wait and reminds us of the re-ward for the faithful follower at the heavenly banquet after the judgment. If it is addressed to the apostles, then it could also be addressed to leadership in the early Church. Either way, the parables reminds us that we should be found doing our jobs when the master arrives. If we are doing our jobs, our reward will be great. But if we relax, neglect our duties, and begin to act like the greedy rich man—eating, drinking, and making merry—we will not have a place in the kingdom. Father Waldemar Latkowski joined the Congregation of the Redemptorists religious order in September 1990. He was ordained a priest in 1997. He worked re-publishing Homo Dei in Krakow. From 2002, he had been acting as the secretary of the provincial in Warsaw. In October 2004 he be-gan his ministry in the United

States. First he served chaplain at the hospital in Man-ville, NJ. From June 13, 2006 he was involved in pastoral work in Perth Amboy, NJ first as a parochial vicar, then as pastor. Up until now he was the pastor of 3 parishes: St. Stephens (from 2008) St. Mary (from 2010), Our Lady of the Rosary of Fatima (administrator since 2011) and Saint John Paul II Parish (the parish was formed from a merge of the parishes listed) since 2012. He finished his ministry in Perth Amboy on July 21, 2019. For 13 years he organizes a summer camp for families titled "Vacation with God." On top of all of this, Father Waldemar worked as a chaplain of a prison as well as lead many prayer groups for youth and adults.

God creates human life and gives it val-ue. And Jesus gave his life on the cross to redeem each individual human person. By doing this, Jesus said, “Your life is worth my dying to save you.” Through his own Resurrection, Jesus showed us the glory of our resur-rection and of our living in the Holy Spirit. Jesus prom-ised that the body and soul of a person, separated at death, will be joined together again in glory at the Last Judgment. The person will be whole for all eternity. The feast of Mary’s Assumption is a preview of what our lives will be. At the end of her earthly life, Mary was assumed, or taken up, into heaven body and soul. She did not have to wait for the end of the world, as we do. God granted her this special privilege because of her sinlessness and her fullness of grace. The Church has always believed in Mary’s assumption into heaven. But on November 1, 1950, Pope Pius XII focused the attention of the whole world on the Assumption of Mary as a dogma and mys-tery of our faith. This mystery shows us that God wants every human person, body and soul, to be in glory forev-er, just as Mary is now. This dogma shows how important every single human life is. Pope Plus XII hoped that by thinking about Mary’s Assumption, people all over the world would develop a deeper respect for their own lives and their own bodies. He also hoped that people would grow in respect for the lives of others.
