    Technical Competition throughout the first 9 months of the Challenge we

    will host technical workshops to engage teams and outreach events to engagecommunities. The competition will culminate in a single Technology Expo

    bringing all teams, spectators and media together for demonstrations and final

    awards. We expect ~1000 participants.

    Education over the course of the 15 month Challenge, we will organize a series ofculturally-competent education events with museums around the country to

    engage under-served youth in science, tech, and innovation. These events will be

    supplemented with youth competitions, educational gaming, and an interactive

    online community. Our education program will impact over 1 Million students.

    Challenge Driven Innovation Summit to launch the Night RoverChallenge, we are inviting 50 top level innovation leaders to a high-level summit

    exploring the impact of challenge driven innovation on government, corporate,and non-profit, social and financial goals.

    As an explorer and entrepreneur, I have had countless wonderful

    experiences in my life. In October, 2004, I was able to watch as

    SpaceShipOne sailed into history, winning the Ansari X PRIZE, that I

    supported with my family. On September 18, 2006, I joined the crew of

    Soyuz TMA-9 to travel to the International Space Station, becoming the

    first female private spaceflight participant. I have led numerous

    corporations, non-profit organizations, and programs focused on

    education and social entrepreneurship to improve the quality of life for

    everyone on this pale blue dot we call home.

    I am excited to have joined the Founding Board of the Night Rover

    Challenge. This is an amazing program not only for its technological

    promise, but also because of its educational potential. The Night Rover

    team share's my passion for education and has laid out an impressive

    strategy to engage students around the world in science, technology,

    entrepreneurship and innovation.

    remaining economically viable today. More than 2,000 new clean technology

    jobs have been created through the Cleantech Open. The Cleantech Open is

    our managing non-profit organization through which we are organized.

    universities across the globe (Stanford, MIT, etc.). Younoodle is managing the

    online competition process of registration, submission, and judging for the

    Night Rover Challenge technical competition and educational awards.

    Joshua Neuberthelped found the Conrad Foundation and served as its ExecutiveDirector from 2008 2011. He has held leadership positions in two other non-profits

    and has extensive experience creating and managing innovative education programs,

    large events, and technology competitions reaching over 12,000 participants. Mr.

    Neubert holds a B.S. and M.S degree from MIT in Planetary Science.

    Rebeca Hwang has been intimately involved in the world of competitions since 1997.

    She co-founded and led the judging process of the Cleantech Open Competition and is

    also co-founder and CEO of Younoodle Inc. Rebeca received a Bachelors and a Masters

    degree from MIT in Chemical and Environmental Engineering.

    Diane Murphyis on the Board of the X PRIZE Foundation and Youth Service America.

    She was a VP for EADS and Northrop Grumman, two $30B companies. She hasorganized major events at the National Air and Space Museum and the Smithsonian;

    and served as a consultant in the Office of the UnderSecretary of Energy, coordinating

    all agency education programs with the White House.

    Alysia Carolhas over 12 years of experience designing and developing educational

    programs. She was previously Director of Education at the Tech Museum of

    Innovation, Director of Education at NASA Ames Research Center, and prior to thathas held leadership positions at other museums and has been a K-12 teacher.

    Partners & CollaboratorsNASA Office of Centennial ChallengesIn addition to supplying the prize money for the Night Rover Challenge,NASA's Office of Centennial Challenges serves as a central point of contact for

    all PR, outreach and technical requirements of the Night Rover Challenge.

    Where possible, they assist the Night Rover Challenge in coordinating with

    NASA's office of education, Office of Communications, and all other technical

    resources that may be of use for the Challenge's programs.

    Ankh Marketing & I.S.I.SA hip-hop entertainment company with extensive experience working with

    artists such as Mos Def, Common, Pharrell Williams, and many others. Ankh

    has an expertise designing informal education programs, specifically for

    underrepresented minorities through their Instituting Science In Schools

    (ISIS) program. They have carved out a unique niche in education combining

    hip-hop and pop culture with science and technology. Ankh is supporting the

    Night Rover Challenge by creating and organizing pop-culture components to

    the Night Rover Experience events.

    Popular SciencePopular Science Magazine has signed an MOU with the Night Rover Challengeto support the competition through media outreach as a provisional title

    sponsor. The Magazine reaches over 1.6 million subscribers and 300,000

    online monthly viewers.

    Science Beyond the BoundariesAn international network of over 140 science centers and museums, reaching

    over 67 million visitors annually. Founded and managed by the St. Louis

    Science Center, the networks purpose is to share educational materials that

    connect museum visitors with the advancing frontiers of science and facilitate

    the connection between scientific research and their lives. SBB will be

    assisting with the Night Rover's coordination with Museums for both our

    custom event process and the Night Rover Experience programs.

    Obscura DigitalAn immersive technology company with an extensive history creatinginteractive displays for world governments and Fortune 500 companies.

    Obscura has created displays on the Sydney Opera House, German

    Parliament, and many other notable locations around the world. Working with

    Obscura, we will create a series of high-tech, high-impact educational displays

    and activities for the Night Rover Experience events.

    SPUTNiK5An innovation education company employing game mechanics into

    workshops for student groups, companies, and governments around the

    world. Sputnik5 has worked with the Startup Malaysia, the Jordanian

    government, and the Danish Center for Innovation among others. They will be

    assisting the Night Rover by creating innovation workshops for our NightRover Experience events.
