What the manager’s say
Apprentices often excel with their IT skills and often love
databases and spread sheets, being able to teach
us older locality managers a thing or two!!
Young people bring a vibrancy and challenge to the work environment
and don’t feel afraid to ask the innocent questions as to why things
are being done the way they are.
I feel it makes you look at your own practices and procedures
when you are training an apprentice, which can only
improve the way in which we work.
It has been a great opportunity to help a young person realise
their potential and see a side to the NHS they have never been
aware of before.
Full of ideas and really
energise the team
What the apprentices’s say
I have truly valued the opportunity to learn and
grow within a role I didn’t really understand at first. I look forward to continuing
my career.
I was so inspired in my admin role that I have chosen to continue with
higher education and plan to become a qualified OT.
I came into my apprenticeship not really knowing what I wanted to do with my life.I am now a HR professional
qualifying through CIPD.
I have realised that nursing is what I want to do and my
apprenticeship has helped me realise my dreams of working with patients with dementia, making a difference to their
care.
