The environment that businesses operate under is undergoing a rapid change driven by technology, shifting geopolitical power equations and globalization of consumer, as well as talent marketplace. Against this backdrop, this inaugural module helps the CHROs to make sense of this world and create an impact through people.

R Srinivasan Professor of Corporate Strategy & PolicyChairperson, executive education Programmes

Srinivasan R is Professor of Strategy & Policy at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. His current research focuses on characterizing rapid growth firms; studying platform mediated networks; and strategic decision making in top management teams. Srinivasan received his doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad in 1998. He received the Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial fund scholarship for his doctoral research at IIM Ahmedabad. He worked for about eight years at IIM Lucknow before joining IIM Bangalore. His areas of teaching at the postgraduate and doctoral levels have been Platform business models, Corporate Strategy, Competitiveness, and Strategy Process Research. He has been visiting faculty at the friedrich Alexander University erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany and the University of Rome Tor Vergata, delivering courses and lectures on Platform Business Models and Open Innovation.

Srinivasan has coauthored a textbook on strategic management and a research-based book on knowledge management in the Indian context. He has published papers and cases in several international journals. He has authored a number of cases on Indian organizations on growth, strategic management, innovation, and knowledge management. He has presented his research in a number of international academic conferences. His current research on studying firms operating in platform-mediated networks. He closely works as advisor and researches on a variety of firms that create and operate platform-based business models. He engages with the industry in several ways – through executive education (strategy and leadership development for senior managers); entrepreneurial education (design and delivery of management programs for entrepreneurs); consulting assignments (consulting on strategizing and growth); executive coaching (functional coaching of CeOs and family business owners); research (including case writing highlighting best practices), and strategy facilitation (including design and facilitation of annual strategic planning sessions).

Anandorup ghosePartner, AonPractice Leader, Performance, Rewards and Organization South Asia

Anandorup Ghose leads the Perform-ance, Rewards and Organization Consulting Practice for Aon Consul-ting India. Prior to being appointed in this role, Anandorup headed Aon’s executive compensation and governance practice for South Asia along with General Industry Compensation for India covering Consumer, Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing & Services industries. He has worked extensively with clients in the region on structuring and defining executive compensation structures across a wide variety of industries.

Anandorup has also worked with clients in the Middle East, Asia Pacific and India in the areas of executive compensation design and benchmarking, long term incentive plan design, sales incentive plan design, governance structure definition, remuneration committee advisory, performance planning and scorecard design etc. He has managed multi-year change engagements with clients in India as well as the Middle east, and has worked on some large scale merger integration work with clients in the region.

He regularly speaks on key themes like executive compensation, organization effectiveness and people performance at forums like AIMA, fICCI, CII, NHRD and writes regularly on HR topics in print and digital media platforms such as Business Today, forbes, People Matters, Business Insider, Huffington Post etc.

Prior to joining Aon, Anandorup worked with ICICI Bank in India as a senior manager in its international banking strategy team. He has also worked with ernst & young in its transaction advisory services business and has significant experience in business valuations and supporting M&A transactions.
