Darlington Street)• Concrete paving of the roadway

began May 19th and is expected to be completed in sections by July 22, weather permitting.

• Concrete paving of the west side of Dracup Avenue North between Collacott Drive South and Darlington Street is complete, and work is continuing on paving the remainder of Dracup North

• Paving crews will be alternating between Mayhew Avenue and Dracup Ave. North during the seven day curing process for each section poured. This ensures the most effi cient use of equipment and manpower.

Dracup Avenue South Reconstruction – Darlington Street to Broadway Street EastDracup Avenue South Phase 1 (Darlington Street to Smith Street) is ongoing.

Dracup Avenue South Phase 2 - Darlington Street to Broadway Street East began June 13th. All underground infrastructure, utility and service connections to businesses on Dracup South will be replaced, and a new roadway will be installed.

2016 Construction

Mayhew Avenue - Broadway Street to Morrison Drive - Phase 1(Broadway Street to Morrison Drive) - removal of old asphalt, underground infrastructure renewal and concrete resurfacing. Due to soil compaction issues in some areas and periods of wet weather the project completion date has been moved to August, weather permitting. All sections of concrete have been poured between Broadway and Morrison Drive and work continues on boulevards and intersections. Paving crews are alternating between Mayhew Avenue and Dracup Ave. North during the seven day curing process for each section poured. This makes the most effi cient use of equipment and manpower. Paving crews on these two projects work on a 21 day rotation to maximize work during the construction season. We are focusing on completion of the Dracup corridor in 2016, and have decided to postpone reconstruction of the northern section of Mayhew from Morrison Drive to Darlington (Phase 2) until 2017.

Please watch for detours and obey all signage. For further information contact thePublic Works department at 306-786-1760 or visit www.yorkton.ca/construction.
