My name is Andrew Sengchanh, and I’m a senior at Wichita State University. I’m planning on graduating with a BS in Biology in spring 2015, and I intend to apply into a Physician Assistant program once I do. Obtaining a career in medicine has been my goal since entering college. So far, I’d like to find a position in pediatrics, as I love working with kids. Originally, I’m from San Diego, CA and moved to Derby, KS seven years ago. I still live in Derby with my family: my mom, stepdad, brother, and sister. I went to Derby High School for all four years of high school, and immediately went straight to Wichita State once I graduated. Since freshman year I’ve made many great friends and connections, one of them being Student Support Services. I heard about the program through a good friend, and I applied to become a tutor for the students in the program. I’ve been a tutor ever since, and I eventually became a student in the program myself. Through the experience I gained working as a tutor and being a student in the program. I was recently able to obtain a medical scribe position in the emergency department. This position has provided me with invaluable experience for my future career and I have many people to thank in the program, even if they don’t know that they helped me in some way. Currently, I couldn’t ask for more, as I’m on the right path to what I want to do. I’m set for graduation in spring 2015, and my next goal is to take the first big step into starting my life. Book Donations If you have any books to donate, we will gladly take them. We know college textbooks are expensive. The more current textbooks we receive, the more students can benefit from our SSS library. If you have borrowed SSS laptops, calculators, textbooks, or other materials please return them to your SSS advisor by the end of the semester so other students can use them and prevent a hold being put on your account.

Greetings SSS Students, Tutors, and Staff,

Working with all of you has been amazing and a dream come true. You are a part of the Wichita State SSS story and I enjoyed being a part of that story, sharing your successes and struggles. I look forward to seeing all of your names as WSU alumni in the coming years.

Best Wishes,
