Autumn blessings to you!

Dear Parents:

It is hard to believe that we are 9 weeks into the school

year already. The weather has finally cooled down, and

we are pulling out our sweaters and coats. Dress kids up

in layers since it gets much warmer during the day.

Please remember to keep the school dress code colors

when picking out your sweaters and jackets. Brand

names/ logos should not be larger than 1 inch on any

pieces of clothing. There should be no writing nor

cartoon or Disney characters on clothes or school

supplies.

School Picture Day

We are planning a school picture day in the first few

days of November. To finalize this day, we need every

student to have at least one polo shirt with the

Academy logo on it. If you haven’t submitted a shirt yet,

please do so.

We have been notified that on certain fabric texture,

the logo patch would come off in the washer.

Therefore, if you get a logo patch, we ask you to

carefully stich the patch over in the white outlines using

white thread.

Other Logo Options:

➢ Professional stich over the patch

➢ Embroidery logo (right on to the shirt)

Great News for our 2nd Graders!

Even after the school year has begun, God has blessed

our Academy with more 2nd grade students. In order to

achieve higher quality of instruction for the 1st, 2nd,

and 3rd grades, we have added a regular part-time

teacher to teach the 2nd grade mathematics and English.

Ms. Kolomyza was our 2nd grade teacher last year, and

we are happy to welcome her back this year.

California State Capitol Field Trip

Grades 2-6 will go on a field trip to the California State

Capitol on October 19th (8 am to 12 pm).

After the tour, we will enjoy an early lunch picnic

outside if the weather permits.

Note: There will be no chapel next Friday – please take

your students to room 9 in the morning.

Worship Team Instructor Needed

Last year we had a wonderful worship team

Box Tops Program:

This is a great way to help earn some cash back for class

supplies. Please look for these BOX TOP$ coupons on

your regular items that you usually buy, and before

throwing out the package, clip the coupons and bring

them to your teacher. The class that collects the highest

number of box tops will be announced during chapel

and earn a prize! See your teacher for details.

Lost & Found:

Parents, please remember to look through the lost and

found boxes in room 9 daily for your student’s

sweaters, jackets, water bottles, and lunch boxes.

Operation Christmas Child:

This is a very exciting time of the year. With Christmas

just around the corner, everyone is getting in the spirit

of giving and cheer. Let us celebrate the greatest gift

that was ever given to the world – Jesus Christ, God’s

own Son and God Himself!

We would like to invite everyone to participate in the

Operation Christmas Child project. Students will have a

chance to pack a Christmas box for another child in a

different part of the world (a poor country).

The instructions and details on how to pack a shoe box

will be available in the office and room 9. Your students

can bring Christmas boxes Nov. 2 – 15.
