We wish them all the very best for the future. New Starters After the half term break we will be welcoming some new staff into the school and children’s centre. The group will help with managing behaviour, parenting and routines, home safety equipment, housing issues, debt and benefit advice, health and nutrition information and much more. No need to book a place, just turn up. SEN Group This group will support families and children with additional needs. Sessions will include sensory play equipment, dark dens, physical play and much more to aid your child’s development. This is a great opportunities for parents to meet, socialise, speak to professionals and share idea. The group will run every Tuesday from 14 th April to 19 th May. Healthy Eating

There is a rising number if children in Bradford who are obese (47%). Please keep your children healthy by providing them with a well balanced packed lunch and healthy snacks. Do not include sugary foods or crisps and could children not bring sweets into school. For information and ideas on healthy foods you can visit www.nhs.uk/change4life and search for sugar swaps.

Attendance

Our attendance levels are dropping. If your child is absent from school for more than 2 days Mrs Blythe will be making home visits or arranging to meet with you in school regarding your childs absence. Please support us in bringing your child to school every day

ATTENDANCE = ATTAINMENT Uniform

Please could I remind parents that children need to be wearing black shoes, not trainers, for school. Trainers can be brought into school and kept in lockers to wear for PE lessons.

Digital Showcase Photo Winners

Yesterday we held our 'Fagley Digital Showcase'in our school hall. It was a fantastic event!Thank you to all the parents who came to look around at all thebrilliantwork that the children had done, as well as having a go at some of the activities on offer.

At the end of the day we finished with a whole schoolassembly whereprizes were presented to the winners and runners up of the digital photography competition: ClassWinnerRunner Up

Also a special WELL DONEto Sanaa in Year 6 who won the Safer Internet Day poster competition run by the Innovation Team. Her poster was chosen as the winner out of all the schools in Bradford!

School Photographer

We have decided to use a different photographer for the individual and sibling photographs in June. The company is called The School Photography Company and they offer a great range of high quality products at reasonable prices. They are currently producing an Eco pack for 10 which includes 1 large, 2 medium and 2 small photographs as well as 4 passport size photographs and a bookmark. The Eco pack does not include the cardboard frames. If you would like to view the Eco pack please call in at the office and ask to see the sample. Each year 6 pupil will also receive a free Leavers Book. School Meals

If your child is in Reception , Year 1 or Year 2 they are entitled to a universal free school meal. A new menu will be coming home with your child today.
