breakers Basketball team visit the school last Thursday. The children who were lucky enough
to meet them were given the opportunity to ask the players questions and some were even able
to play a short game against them.
ENVIROGROUP TRIP TO
OROKONUI ECOSANCTUARY
On Thursday the Environmental
Action Group went to the Orokonui
Ecosanctuary to see native trees and
birds. We travelled by cars. When
we arrived we had to wait awhile so
we looked around the centre at the
Ecosantuary building . Then we
walked down the valley where we
saw heaps of interesting birds and
trees, but the highlight was the
“farting” tree – it smelt really bad - and the tallest tree. We
really enjoyed our trip.
