  • This month World Chefs Without Borders

    supported the amazing efforts of a Rakhine

    pastry chef in Mrauk Oo's war zone. Ma

    Shwe Ngwe Oo, a former hotel owner,

    became a Bakery Master and started her

    own bakery with an all female staff. War

    interrupted her thriving business, but rather

    than flee, this brave woman has used her

    facilities to feed the most vulnerable. She

    designed a healthy bread roll as a "Happy

    Breakfast", provided daily to 3000 children

    living in refugee camps. Here, Worldchefs

  • Chefs Rene Marquis and Eva Applebee visited Florida's Bloomingdale High School this

    month and educated 437 students on sustainable eating with the help of our Food

    Heroes toolkit. All in a day's work!

  • Ma Shwe Ngwe Oo and her staff of 8 women prepare 3000 bread rolls daily for the over

    20,000 children living in refugee camps in N Rakhin and Mrauk Oo. They have already

    provided over 100,000 rolls so far, a tremendous contribution in an area where NGOs are

    not allowed.
