L’Île d’Or has been inhabited since thebeginning of the 20th century. It's also awell‐known mooring place ideal for snor‐kelling and scuba‐diving. The squaretower on the island is said to have inspi‐red Hergé for "The Black Island" volumeof The Adventures of Tintin.

The Cap Dramont protected by theNational Forestry Of ice, offers breathta‐king panoramas of the red‐rock cliffs, theIle d'Or, the Bay of Agay and the Estérel.The sémaphore at the top of the Cap wasbuilt in 1860 on the ruins of the watchto‐wer which dated back to 1562. The Cap isbordered by the Plage du Débarquementbeach, where the American soldiers lan‐ded on the 15th August 1944. This shadedbeach looks out onto the Ile d'Or.

The traditional Poussai port is the de‐parture point for the walking trails whichlead to the various look‐out points. On theother side of the Cap the sheltered beachof Camp Long is ideal for relaxing andswimming with all the family

The Bay of AgayAt the foot of the magni icent rocks of theRastel, the bay of Agay opens onto a largesandy beach where many summer watersports are offered: windsur ing, kayaking,parascending and jet‐skiing. Make themost of these unforgetable moments inthese clear waters. The bay, sheltered inthe West by the Cap Dramont and in theEast by the Baumette, is the naturalgateway to the Estérel Massif.

At the foot of the Estérel lie a dozen covesand small rocky beaches set in a wildlandscape. the Corniche d'Or road,opened in 1903, is cut into the rock andoffers several parking areas where youcan enjoy the views or walk down to thebottom of the coves.

These isolated and quieter beaches areideal for snorkelling. Part of this coast isprotected and here all forms of ishing areprohibited. You will be in awe of the pine‐covered, red rock mountains of the Estérelplunging into the turquoise waters.

The beaches of BoulourisAfter the Santa Lucia marina the jagged coastlinecreates some beautiful landscapes with intimatebeaches cut out of the red rock.

Along the coastal path lie many isolatedcoves. Shaded by the trees which line thegardens of the splendid 19th century villas,it's a quiet area per fect for bathing and walking.

Cap DramontThe Estérel on the water's edgelength: 2 hrs ‐ 3.5kmDeparture point: Camp Long beachhow to get there:. By car: Take the coastal road towardsAgay until you get to the Dramont. Turnright when you see the sign “Tiki Plage”and park in the car park at the end ofAllée Robinson.. By bus: Number 8 ‐ Camp Long stop. By train: TER 03 ‐ Le Dramont stop

Itinerary: Take the small coastal path(yellow markings). The path follows thecontour of the rock and comes to an over‐hang.

Continue uphill on the path towards theright as it gets narrower. At the top takethe left hand fork. The path runs alongthe cliff tops with magni icent views ofthe coast. At the next crossroads turnright onto the path which heads uphill tothe tarmac road. Keep heading uphilluntil you get to the "Sémaphore" (keep iton your right) to enjoy the superb views.Head back down to the crossroads andgo along the tarmac road to the rightwhich overlooks the south face of theCap Dramont. At the end of the road, be‐fore turning right onto the road that leadsback to the departure point, you can makea detour to the left and head to the smalland picturesque Port du Poussaï.

Itinerary: Take the path (yellowmarkings). The path runs between the seaand the beautiful late 19th century villagardens.

After 6km leave Pierre Blave beach andgo onto the road for 700m until you reachthe Plage du Débarquement beach whereyou can get back onto the coastal path.The walk ends at Pourrousset beach.You can return by public transport (busnumber 8 or 5 or TER train 03).
