Zusammenfassung

10-15 % der HCV-infizierten Patienten entwickeln eine periphere

Neuropathie. Ursächlich werden eine kryoglobulinämische Vaskulitis

und direkte Autoimmunprozesse diskutiert.

Die Therapie in jedem Einzelfall beruht auf „trial and error“-Prinzip.

(antiviral/Steroide/Immunglobuline/Plasmapherese/Rituximab)

In Einzelfällen wurden Vaskulits-assoziierte Schlaganfälle beobachtet.

Es gibt einige Fallberichte über eine HCV-assoziierte Myelitis.

50 % der Patienten klagen über diverse neuropsychiatrische

Symptome, vor allem chronische Müdigkeit, Aufmerksamkeits- und

Gedächtnisstörungen und Stimmungsschwankungen. Diese

Beschwerden sind unabhängig vom PCR-Status.

Die neuropsychiatrischen Beschwerden sind mit Veränderungen des

Hirnstoffwechsels und der Neurotransmission assoziiert.
