Go through the 20 minute presentation on the NEA Academy. Look at the NEA Academy website: www.neaacademy.org-

workforce classes and advancement classes Plan a 10 minute meeting – you could include this video if you

are a state with common core: Common Core Video

Invite everyone on campus or building .

Act:

Have a 10 minute meeting.

Discuss professional development that could be utilized at your campus.

Have a meeting with the principal or supervisor.

Have an update 10 minute meeting with members and potential members.

Teach the members and potential members how to log into the website:

Act:

Make sure that members and potential members understand the value of membership with the NEA Academy.

A great example is the Teacher Support Tool by Learning Bridges.

Everyone at the site taking the same professional development can be beneficial as shown by Educational Impact’s Unpacking the Common Core.
