My

name is Justin Estes and I will be your Senior Patrol Leader this week. A huge amount of work

has gone into creating this program to ensure that you have a great experience, but you may

be asking yourself, What do I expect to get out of this week? Well, first and foremost, you can

definitely expect a fun and safe environment where you may make new friends and memories

that will last you a lifetime. You should expect to learn a great deal about what it means to be a

leader by developing a vision, setting goals, and valuing others. Equipped with this knowledge,

it is my hope that you go back to your home unit and make a positive impact based on your

experience here at NYLT. I cannot wait to see what this week holds and I hope that you have

an awesome experience.

Remember, if you can SEE it, you can BE it,

JustinJustin Estes, Senior Patrol Leader

2014 Palmetto Council NYLT Course

Greetings!

On behalf of the Palmetto Council, Camp Bob Hardin and our hard-working 2014 National

Youth Leadership Training staff, I welcome you as an integral part of our course. This week

will be filled with fun, fellowship, teambuilding and more fun. Scoutings founder, Sir Robert

Baden Powell said that scouting is a game with a purpose. This week will be filled with

games that test both your mental and physical abilities and those of your entire team. As you

work through these games you will learn things about yourself and about your team

important things that will help you be able to more effectively lead yourself and others when an

opportunity arises.

Youll notice that the entire course will be run by our highly effective youth staff with the adult

staff standing on the sidelines or perhaps sitting in the back of the room watching the magic

happen. Our staff has been training hard since the first of the year to make sure that your

week with us will be a mountain-top experience that you will look back on fondly for many

years to come.

Yours in Scouting,

Britt Britt C.
