1.0 PURPOSE

This test report describes the methods used for the Dynamic Testing of the E-rack Case tested for CP Cases. This test program was conducted to determine the ability of the E-rack Case to successfully satisfy the requirements specified in the references listed in section 2.0 of this report.

1.1 Test Program Sequence

1.1.1. Receipt Inspection

Upon receipt at NTS, the E-rack Case was visually inspected to ensure there had been no damage due to shipping/handling, and to confirm that the test model number and serial number coincide with those on the packing list. No discrepancies or damage was observed.

1.1.2. Functional Test

The E-rack Case was checked for damage before and after testing as applicable. No functional testing was performed

4.2 Test Equipment

A list of the test equipment to be used is included in Appendix A of this procedure. This equipment is calibrated according to ISO 10012-1 and calibration is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Calibration records are maintained on file at National Technical Systems.

5.0 GENERAL TEST REQUIREMENTS

5.1 Test Facility

The E-rack Case was tested for Dynamic tests at NTS test facilities located in Tinton Falls, NJ.

5.2 Test Sample Configuration

The test item configurations are documented in the photographs contained in this test report.

5.3 Functional/Visual Pass/Fail Criteria

The E-rack Case shall successfully satisfy the requirements specified in the references listed in Section 2.0 of this procedure. The E-rack Case will be checked for damage before and after testing as applicable.

6.0 TEST PROCEDURE 6.1 General Purpose Vibration

6.1.1 Requirement

The E-rack Case shall be tested for Vibration for 2 hours per axis at 2.13 grms for the off road profile as stated in DEF STAN 00-35 Part 3 Issue 4 Chapter 2-01 Test M1 General Purpose Vibration Test A.2.2 Road Transport Wheeled Vehicles.

6.1.2 Test Procedure

a) The E-rack Case was strapped to the vibration platform. b) The profile above was run for 2 hours per axis. c) The E-rack Case was removed from the vibration platform and

checked for damage.

6.1.3 Comments

The E-rack Case complied with the General Purpose Vibration requirements.

6.2 Transportation Shock

6.2.1 Requirement

The E-rack Case shall be tested for Shock at 15g/11 mSec half sine, 6 shocks per axis from DEF STAN 00-35 Part 3 Issue 4 Chapter 2-03 Table 1, Line1 and 8g, 10g and 12g at 5mSec, 66 shocks per axis from DEF STAN 00-35 Part 3 Issue 4 Chapter 2-03 Table 2, Off Road Vehicles.

6.2.2 Test Procedure

a) The E-rack Case was strapped to the shock platform. b) The shocks were performed on each axis at 15g/11 mSec half sine. c) The shocks were then performed at 8g, 10g and 12g at 5mSec on each

axis. d) The E-rack Case was removed from the shock platform and checked

for damage.

6.2.3 Comments

The E-rack Case complied with the Transportation Shock requirements.

6.3 Vertical Impact

6.3.1 Requirement

The E-rack Case shall be tested for Vertical Impact as stated in DEF STAN 00-35 Part 3 Issue 4 Chapter 2-05, Test M5 at .75m height. 2 drops on the bottom surface.

6.3.2 Test Procedure

a) The E-rack Case was attached to the quick release hook and raised to a height of .75m.

b) The case was released from the hook and dropped to the floor (2 drops).

c) The E-rack Case was checked for damage.

6.3.3 Comments

The E-rack Case complied with the Vertical Impact test requirements.
