THE STUDENTI am Marlyn M. Rodilla. I was born on the 26th day of October 1995. I am studying at Cebu Technological University-Moalboal, Cebu Campus taking up Bachelor in Secondary Education Major in Industrial Technology.

WHAT IS EDUCATIONAL

TECHNOLOGY?EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY- is a

complex, integrated process involving people, procedures, ideas,

devices, and organization for analyzing problems and devising or

implementing , evaluating and managing solutions to those

problems involved in all aspects of human learning

Educational Technology is a field of study which is concerned with the practice of using educational methods and resources for the ultimate goal of facilitating the learning process.

Educational Technology is taught in school for the learners to learn and to adapt easily in the new and modern world of learning. In this curriculum or subject, students learn how to use technology in an advance learning and the best way to integrate learning to students.

BANE

TECHNOLOGYis a blessing to every human specie in the planet. With technology our life tends to be easy.In the past, where there is no technology yet, we couldn’t do the things that we are doing right now with the advancement of technology.With gadgets like cellular phones, computers and many more, we could feel every bits of love with our family even we are far away from each other.With technology, our daily works, task and many others becomes easy.

Howbeit, when man is abusing the power of technology, and handle technology improperly it would cause affliction to learning and development of certain individual. Improper use of technology has certain examples;The use of internet for pornographic acts and scenes. The use of technology for the purpose of creating unlawful practices is now what we could say the misuse of technology.

ROLES OF TECHNOLOGY INLEARNING

TRADITIONAL WAY

The learner learns from the technology in hand and the technology serves as a teacher to the students.

Technology like computer is seen as a productivity tool in learning.

CONSTRUCTIVIST

Technology serves as a partner in learning and understanding

Engages learners in active, intentional, authentic, constructive, and cooperative learning.

It provides opportunities for the learners interaction for meaningful learning using technology.

These following roles of technology really helps a lot in the field of teaching-learning process. It gives us a wide variation of knowledge to be used later in our endeavor as a professional.

Discovery Learning- A technique of inquiry-based and considered as constructivist based approach in education

Generative Learning- Theory that involves the active

integration of new ideas with the learner’s existing schemata

Constructivism- Learning’s theory that explains how people might acquire knowledge and learning.

THE STUDENT AFTER EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY

As a student and as a person in this modern generation, the 21st century learners, we are living in a world who are using modern technology to cater our needs.

Technology helps or in other words, has a big role in the field of learning.As a future educator, we must know the right and proper way of using instructional media like the computer as a replacement to the teacher.But its not necessary that the teacher has no roles itself.They are the one who will manipulate those technologies.They are inter-connected.
