MUSIC THERAPY CLUB TO VISIT UD CHILDREN'S CENTER ON NOV. 11

The University of Dayton chapter of the National Association of Music Therapy Students will visit the UD Children's Center for Young Learners at 12:15 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11. During the 30-minute visit, music therapy students will work with approximately 15 children ages three to five, conducting activities that stress the therapeutic value of music. Dances and sing-alongs will be fea t tlred, along with a number of games involving a parachute. For further information, call UD's music division at 229-3936.

YOUNG SCHOLARS WILL STUDY RADIO, TV AT UD ON NOV. 12

Between 35 and 40 students from the Dayton Public School System will attend a Young Scholars program on radio and television communications on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the University of Dayton. The session, which will focus on behind-the-scenes work of television production, will be held . in the Kennedy Union on campus. The Young Scholars program is sponsored by UD's Office of Minority Student Affairs and the Dayton Public School System. For more information, call Debra Moore at 229-3634.

UD MARCHING BAND SLATES 'LAST BLAST' ON NOV. 13

The University of Dayton marching band, including the Flyerettes and featured twirler Dawn Boyer, will perform its final show of the season (pending post-season play) on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. at UD Arena. The program will include music from the band's eight performances over the past 10 weeks. The 90-member band will perform selections ranging from "Lazy River" by the Mills Brothers to the sounds of Motown in the '60s and Huey Lewis and the News in the '80s. HANDS IN HARMONY WILL SING WITH SIGNS ON NOV. 13 AT UD

Hands in Harmony, the University of Dayton's sign singing ensemble, will perform on Sunday, Nov. 13 at 8 p.m. in the Kennedy Union Boll Theatre on campus. The performance is free and open to the public. Developed through the music therapy program at UD, the 20-member group uses sign language to interpret popular music. The group is comprised of UD students and members of the Dayton-area community. For further t information, contact the UD music division at 229-3936. ~
