ABSTRACT
• In this project a mechanism is being developed for harvesting of crop cutter so that harvesting can be done easily in minimum period of time.• The mechanism will be used to cut the crop and that will be a help for
farmers. • The dimensions and specification are taken as per the convenience of
location of Bihar, UP, Uttarakhand and Punjab and also as per availability of standard parts.• Basically, the design is done according to the need of small farmers at
very low price. It is fabricated for small piece of land.
INTRODUCTION• In the country like India where the main source of income is agriculture.
• To improve the quality of agriculture, we have developed a mechanism for cutting of different crops, so that harvesting can be done easily in minimum period of time.• To overcome all issues a new manually handled and engine operated cutter is
fabricated for cutting of multiple types of crop like paddy, wheat, oil seeds, and pulses etc. named as “Multiple Crop Cutting Machine”. There is two types of blades are used according to need of crops. First is rotary blades, those crops needs high torque i.e. paddy, wheat this blades used. And another is reciprocating which is used for pulses and oil seeds.
• Today, India ranks second among other countries across the globe in farm output. Agriculture and allied sectors accounted for 17% of the GDP in 2015, about 50% of the workforce.
• According to WHO, Slow agricultural growth is a interest for policymakers as two-thirds of India’s people depend on rural employment for a living. The agricultural practices which are currently employed are neither economically nor environmentally sustainable and India's yields for many agricultural material are comparatively low.
• Improperly maintained irrigation systems and almost universal lack of good extension services are among the factors responsible. Farmers' access to markets is hampered by poor roads, rudimentary market infrastructure, and excessive regulation.
OBJECTIVE
• The objective of this project is to Design and Fabricate a low cost Multiple Crop Cutting Machine based on the need of farmers. • To reduce over all cost of farming.
MULTI CROP CUTTER WORK LAYOUT• The work layout shows the arrangement of various parts of project. It consists of different parts
including three wheels, sprocket, freewheel , bevel gear mechanism , two cutters, etc. For easy analysis and study of these arrangements, we classified it into three sections as follows: (1) chassis arrangement (2) Power transmission arrangement (3) Cutting arrangement,
Harvesting and Threshing of Crops
India is agriculture dominant country

Construction of Machine Merits of Machine
The machine is manual handling
It is light weighted machine (60-65kg Approx.)
Its approximated cost is about ₹ 20000-22000/- with best fabrication and the cost of other reaping devices ranges above from ₹ 50000
Low maintenance and repairing cost due to application of simple sets of mechanism.
Suitable for almost all kind of crops such as paddy, wheat, mustard, pulses etc.
Its use compensate the crises of workers in villages up to maximum
TYPES OF BLADES•Rotary blades
•Reciprocating blades

WORKING PRINCIPLE• When the worker will push machine with the handle then wheels
starts rotating.• On shaft the sprocket is mounted having chain drive with 2nd shaft
having freewheel and cycle wheel which transfer the rotation to the 3rd shaft .On this shaft the bevel gear is attached to both the ends then with the help of bevel gears this rotation is transmitted to vertical shaft having cutter at the end. • Due to the teeth ratio of bevel gears, rotation is maintain and power
is obtained for cutting purpose.

CONCLUSIONFor Machine Machine is working in 1 acre area the fuel consumption is = 1.5 liter /-Fuel cost is Rs.85 + labour cost is Rs.35 + M/C cost is Rs.50 = Rs.170/-For LabourLabour working in 1 acre area the associated cost is = Rs.400 /-Cutting time for 2 labour in 1 acre area of farm = 6 hr
Hence in above comparison it is clear that the cost of working by machine in the farm for said application is less as compared to labour cost.
