When I am studying the major of Microbiology in ITB, I have an am interested inon Oil and Gas Recovery field. I have a planned to become the an expert in Microbial Enhanced Oil Recoveryconsultant. I will and planning apply a M.Sc scholarship to take in Chemical Engineering in graduate program. I want to join OGRINDO Research Consortium because it suits with my background (Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery).The reason to join OGRINDO Research Consortium is suitable with my major background in Microbial Enhanced Oil Recovery (MEOR). Although I don’t have background in an eEngineering background, but I can contribute in doing research to support the further engineering research for MEORas microbiologist I want contribute my research to support enhanced oil recovery. I intend to do research for “The topic that I planned for this research is TThe AffectEffect Oof PpHh, Temperature, Aand Substrate Tto Produce Polymer Ffor Selective Plugging Aand Bio--Surfactant Tto Decrease Viscosity Of Oil Oil Viscosity For Recovery Bby Using Model Of MathematicMathematical Model”., after that I want to prove it in laboratory. I have the competency to do this research, I have took Predictive Microbiology, Petroleum Microbiology and Microbiology in Extreme Thermophiles that can support this research such as the knowledge of developing mathematical model, the microorganisms used in petroleum industry and their characteristics. To support the research I took the course in Petroleum Microbiology last semester, and in this semester to support modeling I take the Predictive Microbiology to learn how to make the model of mathematic. Since the microbe in oil reservoir is thermophilic, I take the course Microbiology In Extreme Thermophilic to get the knowledge how microbe can survive in oil reservoir since it is high temperature and high pressure. Another compulsory course is Technique of Fermentation for making inoculums for microbial injection in Reservoir.
