1. Start Word. Navigate to your student files, open i02_Landscape, and then Save the document in your Integrated Projects Chapter 2 folder as Lastname_Firstname_i02_Landscape_Revision Add the file name to the footer.

2. Click the File tab, and then click Options. On the left of the displayed Word Optionsdialog box, verify that General is selected. Under Personalize your copy of MicrosoftOffice, write down the current values in the User name and the Initials boxes. 3. In the Word Options dialog box, click OK.

4. On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, click the Track Changes button, and then makethe following changes:

5. In the Tracking group, click the Show Markup button, click Balloons, and then click ShowRevisions in Balloons. Compare your screen with Figure 2.

6. Save and then Close the Word document.

7. Locate and open the student data file i02_Landscape. Click the File tab, and then clickOptions. In the Word Options dialog box, on the left, verify that General is selected. UnderPersonalize your copy of Microsoft Office, type the original User name and Initials thatyou wrote down from the previous step, and then click OK. Save the file in your IntegratedProjects Chapter 2 folder as Lastname_Firstname_i02_Landscape Close the document.

8. Open a new blank Word document. On the Review tab, in the Compare group, click theCompare button, and then click Compare. In the Compare Documents dialog box, clickthe Original document arrow, and then click Lastname_Firstname_i02_Landscape.Under Revised document, click the Browse button. In the displayed Open dialog box,navigate to the location of the student data files, click i02_Landscape_Allison, and thenclick Open. If necessary, in the Label changes with box, delete the displayed name and typeAllison Plasek Compare your screen with Figure 3.

9. In the Compare Documents dialog box, click OK. Read the displayed message box, andthen click Yes. Compare your screen with Figure 4. If necessary, on the Review tab, in the Compare group, click the Show Source Documents button, and then click Show Both.If necessary, on the Review tab, in the Tracking group, click the Reviewing Pane.

The compared document shows the changes made by Allison Plasek.

10. On the Review tab, in the Changes group, click the Accept button arrow, and then clickAccept All Changes in Document.

All changes made in the revised document by Allison Plasek have been accepted in the compared document.

11. Save the compared document as Lastname_Firstname_i02_Landscape In the messagebox, verify that Replace existing file is selected, and then click OK. Close the Word documents.

13. In the Compare Documents dialog box, click OK. Read the message box, and then click Yes.

14. On the Review tab, in the Changes group, click the Next button. In the Changes group,click the Reject button. Notice that the change is rejected and the next change is highlighted.

15. Click the Reject button to reject the changes to the heading.

16. Click the Accept button four times to accept the changes in the paragraphs. Continue toclick the Reject button for any changes in the headings. In the paragraphs, click the Acceptbutton to accept those changes. When completed, read the message box, and then click OK.

17. On the Review tab, in the Tracking group, click the Track Changes button to turn off thetracking. Save the document as Lastname_Firstname_i02_Landscape In the message box,verify that Replace existing file is selected, and then click OK.

Saving the document with the same name keeps all revisions in one document.

18. Add the file name in the footer, and then Save the document. Submit your files as directedby your instructor, and then Exit Word.
