1. Start PowerPoint, and then from your student files, open p07_Accessible_Playground.Save the presentation in your PowerPoint Chapter 7 folder as Lastname_Firstname_p07_Accessible_Playground

2. Navigate to Slide 3. Insert a new Slide 4 with the Title and Content layout.

3. Place your insertion point in the title placeholder, and type Process

4. In the content placeholder, click the Insert SmartArt Graphic button. Click Process,and then click the fourth process layout in the seventh row—Basic Bending Process. ClickOK. If necessary, under SmartArt Tools, on the Design tab, in the Create Graphic group,click the Text Pane button to display the Text pane. Compare your screen with Figure 1.

5. In the SmartArt Text pane—which displays the text Type your text here—type the followinginformation as a bulleted list:Research and DevelopmentTeam BuildingGather Corporate SupportGather Community SupportCommunity TrainingReinforcement CampaignUpdate Media

6. With the Update Media shape selected, under SmartArt Tools, on the Design tab, in theCreate Graphic group, click Demote.

7. In the Create Graphic group, click Right to Left to reverse the direction of the path followed in the graphic. Compare your screen with Figure 2.

8. Right-click the shape with the text Research and Development. On the displayed shortcutmenu, click Format Shape. In the displayed Format Shape dialog box, verify that Fill isselected. Select the Picture or texture fill option button, and then under Insert from, clickthe File button. In the displayed Insert Picture dialog box, navigate to your student files,click p07_Accessible1, and then click Insert. Move the Format Shape dialog box as needed,so that you can view the SmartArt diagram.

9. Right-click the shape with the text Team Building, and then click Format Shape. Under Fill,select the Picture or texture fill option button, and then under Insert from, click the Filebutton. In the displayed Insert Picture dialog box, navigate to your student files, clickp07_Accessible2, and then click Insert. Move the Format Shape dialog box as needed, sothat you can view the SmartArt diagram.

10. For the Gather Corporate Support shape, repeat the technique just practiced to insert the filep07_Accessible3 as the Fill.

11. For the Gather Community Support shape, repeat the technique just practiced to insert thefile p07_Accessible4 as the Fill.

12. For the Community Training shape, repeat the technique just practiced to insert the filep07_Accessible5 as the Fill.

13. For the Reinforcement Campaign shape, repeat the technique just practiced to insert the filep07_Accessible6 as the Fill. Close the Format Picture dialog box, and then click a blankarea of the slide to deselect the SmartArt. Compare your screen with Figure 3.

14. Click the SmartArt border so no single shape is selected. Under SmartArt Tools, on theDesign tab, in the SmartArt Styles group, click the More arrow, and then click the firststyle under 3-D—Polished.

15. If necessary, display the SmartArt Text pane. In the Text pane, select all of the text, andthen, on the Home tab, in the Font group, click the Bold button and the Text Shadow button. Close the SmartArt Text pane, and then compare your screen withFigure 4.

16. Right-click the SmartArt border, and then from the displayed shortcut menu, click Save asPicture. In the File name box, type Lastname_Firstname_p07_Accessible_SmartArt In theSave as type box, set the File type to JPEG File Interchange Format, and then click Save.

This file can now be inserted into any file that accepts JPEG files.

17. Add the file name to the footer on the Notes and Handouts page. Save the presentation, andthen print or submit as directed. Close PowerPoint.
