Delhi to Modify all its Hired Vehicles to EVs in 6 Months

The Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, announced that each department of the Delhi government will now use only electric vehicles.

This transition to electric vehicles is going to be done within 6 months.

The minister is of the view that this decision will inspire other cities within the country also as a world which may be a key decision to tackle the problems like pollution and global climate change.

This announcement was made after the govt launched the ‘Switch Delhi’ campaign.

The transition from the diesel or petrol vehicle to EVs are going to be monitored by the Transport Department of Delhi.

Further, the departments under the govt are required to supply monthly action reports on the transition to EVs to the nodal department.

Cabinet Approves PLI Scheme for IT hardware and Pharma Sectors

The PLI scheme proposes an incentive to spice up domestic manufacturing.

It also proposes to draw in large investments in the value chain of IT Hardware.

The suggested scheme involves the target segments like tablets, laptops, all-in-one PCs, and servers.

The total cost of the proposed scheme is around Rs.7,350 crore for 4 years.

The budget includes an incentive outlay of Rs.7,325 crore besides the executive charges of Rs 25 crore.

Under the scheme, complete production worth Rs 3,26,00 crore is going to be achieved out of which 75 percent are going to be achieved through the exports.

This scheme features the potential to get direct and indirect employment of over 1,80,000 in over 4 years.

It will provide also provide impetus to Domestic Value Addition for IT Hardware that there's an expectation that it'll rise to twenty – 25% by 2025.

Two Years of PM KISAN Scheme- Highlights

The PM-KISAN Scheme was launched by Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, on February 24, 2019.

The scheme was launched at Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.

National Urban Digital Mission Launched

The National Urban Digital Mission was launched by the Union Housing & Urban Affairs Minister, Hardeep Singh Puri, and Minister of Electronics & IT, Shankar Prasad.

Dr. Harsh VardhanUnion Minister of Health & Family Welfare has launched the operational guidelines to Integrate the Non-Alcoholic liver disease Disease (NAFLD) with the National Programme for Prevention & Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases and Stroke (NPCDCS).

It is an abnormality where fat accumulates in the liver within the absence of secondary causes of liver disease including hepatitis, alcohol use, or medications.

New Scheme launched to Combine Passport Assistance with Digi Locker

The Union Minister of State for External Affairs V Muraleedharan has launched a replacement scheme that integrates the Passport services with the Digi Locker. With the launch of the scheme, the passport certificate in India had now been made even easier.

Now the applicants can enjoy the DigiLocker platform while applying to passport-related services from anywhere in India.

The new scheme would offer a link to the precise documents of the applicants while applying for a passport that they need to be uploaded within the Digilocker.

Kerala to create ‘smart’ Anganwadis

The government of Kerala has sanctioned ₹9 crores for the conversion of conventional anganwadis into “smart” anganwadis with better amenities.

Under this scheme, the Department of girls and Child Development has granted 48 anganwadis of the states to construct its new buildings.

The smart anganwadis are going to be inbuilt to supply infancy care in a phased manner.

These facilities are going to be established to make them more child-friendly. In this manner, these facilities will help to nurture the mental and physical development of youngsters.

Intensified Mission Indradhanush 3.0 Launched

The Union Health Minister, Dr. Harsh Vardhan, has originated the Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) 3.0.

Agri Ministry to use Drones to support PMFBY

The agriculture ministry was entitled to use drones for the aim of unknown sensing data collection under Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY).

The provisional approval was granted to use the Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

MoHUA Launches ‘Pey Jal Survekshan’

The Ministry of Housing and concrete Affairs has launched a Pilot Pey Jal Survekshan. Under the Jal Jeevan Mission- Urban (JJM-U) this scheme was launched.

The Commercial Jute Seed Distribution Scheme was launched within the backdrop of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between the Jute Corporation of India and therefore the National Seeds Corporation.

Digital Agriculture: National e-Governance Plan in Agriculture (NeGPA)

The National e-governance plan in agriculture (NeGPA) may be a Centrally Sponsored Scheme. The scheme was initially launched within the year 2010-11 in 7 States. Recently, this scheme was continued up to March 31, 2021.

The scheme was launched to achieve rapid development in India by using Information & Communication Technology (ICT).

It helps in timely access of agriculture-related information to the farmers.

In the year 2014-15, the scheme was extended to hide all the remaining States and a couple of UTs.

‘Jalabhishekam’ conservation Campaign

Rajnath Singh Union Defence Minister, inaugurated 57,000 water structures under the “Jalabhishekam conservation Campaign” on February 11, 2021, virtually from New Delhi.

These water structures were constructed in Madhya Pradesh.

The conservation work is being carried within Madhya Pradesh by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan with the participation of the public in it.

TIFAC launches SAKSHAM portal and Seaweed Cultivation Mission

The Technology Information, Forecasting and Assessment Council (TIFAC) have launched an employment portal called SAKSHAM to map the talents of workers as needed by the MSMEs. It also launched a Seaweed Cultivation Mission.

TIFAC highlighted that the Saksham portal will help in reducing the middlemen and labor contractors.

It will also help to spot the skill proficiency level.

The portal also will help with the development of skill cards for ‘shramiks’ (workers).

Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Produce Organizations (FPOs)

The Government of India has launched a replacement Central Sector Scheme called the “FPOs (Formation and Promotion of 10,000 Farmer Producer Organizations) ”.

The scheme has been launched with a transparent strategy and committed resources to make and promote 10,000 new FPOs across India.

For the making of FPOs, Rs 6865 crore are allocated.

Budget 2021- Terms of Rs 913.43 crores made for MoPR

In the Union Budget 2021-2022, a total of Rs.913.43 crores are assigned to the Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR). This amount to a 32% increase within the revised estimate of budget 2020-21.

Out of the Rs. 913.43 crores, Rs.593 crores are provided under the Scheme Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA).

Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan may be a Centrally Sponsored Scheme.

The scheme aims to strengthen Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Anganwadi Beneficiaries dropped by 2 crores in 7 years

As the data submitted by the Ministry of girls and Child Development in the Parliament, the amount of beneficiaries under the government’s Anganwadi program has declined within number by nearly two crores.

There were some 10.45 crore pregnant women, lactating mothers, and youngsters aged six months to 6 years who were enrolled at nearly 14 lakh Anganwadi centers during 2014-2015.

This number has declined and dropped to eight .55 crore by March 2020.

The number of youngsters has also declined from 8.49 crore in 2014-2015 to six .86 crore in March 2020.

Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization Scheme

In the Union Budget 2021, Rs. 1050 crore budget has been allocated for SMAM (Sub Mission on Agricultural Mechanization) for the fiscal year 2021-2022.

The SMAM scheme was launched within the year 2014-15.

The scheme was launched by the govt of India to reach the unreached’.

The scheme tries to achieve in the unreached by making the farm machines available and affordable for the tiny and marginal farmers (SMFs).

Samagra Shiksha Endowed School to be renamed after Netaji

The Ministry of Education has decided that the faculties and hostels under the Samagra Shiksha scheme will now be renamed after Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.

Uttar Pradesh: 16-Digit Unicode to spot Landholdings

The Uttar Pradesh government has introduced a system of issuing a singular 16-digit Unicode on February 7, 2020. This Unicode is going to be wont to mark all types of landholdings within the state.

PMFBY: Govt allocates Rs16000 crore for 2021-22

PMMVY beneficiaries cross 1.75 Crores

The Ministry of girls and Child Development has notified the parliament that the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana which is the central government’s maternity benefit scheme has crossed 1.75 crores, eligible women, till the fiscal year 2020.

The central Government’s initial estimate states that the govt had the aim of covering 51.60 lakh women per annum under the scheme.
