FAQ’s

2

Q: Will MHCD be able to do a factory reset on my phone in the event it is lost or stolen?

A: Yes, but if your device is lost or stolen we would only delete MHCD data and applications and would not touch

your personal data unless asked to by you. If you leave the organization, again, we would only remove MHCD

applications and data.

Q: Does this apply to my company issued laptop?

A: No, the MDM policy only applies to personal devices used for work functions and company issued phones and

tablets.

Q: Do I have to use the Outlook App for email, or can I use the email app on my phone and link my MHCD account?

A: Yes, in order to comply with HIPAA and protect the PHI of those we serve, you MUST use the Outlook application

if you would like to receive your work email on your mobile device. The process to install the Outlook app on your

device begins on page 8.

Q: What information will MHCD be able to see on my device?

A: Below is a list of what MHCD can and cannot see. Please keep in mind that the MDM policy is being enacted

solely to protect the PHI of the people we serve, while allowing staff to access essential information and applications

containing PHI.
