Management & Engineering is crucial to innovation, economic development, and jobs creation, and it is crucial to addressing the “grand challenges” facing our world in the 21st century: sustainability, energy, health care, security, the frontiers of exploration, and quality of life. 1) We will create and sustain the human, intellectual, and information infrastructures to connect people 2) we will focus our talent and facilities on research with great potential for expanding the boundaries of science and technology and addressing the global challenges and opportunities of the 21st century
