DAC-150 Width Increase Package

Description(Part No. 810-0151, 810-1322 & 810-0377)

This package provides a width increase to82.5 inches between uprights allowing fordie sets up to 81.5 inches. For 72” machines,the increase in width comes from the narrowbase of the new uprights. As a result, eachcenter keyway on the bed must be extended4.25” to locate the new uprights. The newuprights are taller since the location of theoil troughs is raised above the die area. Theincrease in upright height requires new tierods and nuts. The package also includes the

new style air manifold system which replacesthe obsolete Republic manifold system.Additional air bag counterbalance parts maybe required depending on the vintage of thepress. Uprights to be pre-assembled atMinster and painted to a color pre-determined by the customer. Maximumallowable die & riser weight for this packageis 6,000 lbs for the outer slide & 2,750 lbs forthe inner slide if the press is running at 250strokes per minute.

The Minster Rotary Union (MRU) is designedto transfer fluid up to 10,000 psi into rotatingmachinery at speeds of up to 1,500 rpm. TheMRU was designed with hydrodynamic oilfilm type bearing and high pressure seal

arrangement in place of the failure proneface seals and roller bearings utilized intypical rotary unions. The MRU has been thestandard for all for Minster hydraulic clutchessince 1998.
