    Honors Language Arts Summary Honors English Language Arts coursework follows the

    grade level curriculum at an accelerated pace, examining topics on deeper and more complex levels

    while making cross curricular connections and emphasizing individuality and creativity.

    Grade 6 Honors: Uses a combination of 6th & 7th grade standards. Major

    Projects are implemented.

    Grade 7 Pre-Algebra Honors: Combines 7th and 8th grade standards.

    Increase pace and rigor.

    Grade 8 Algebra Honors: This is a true high school algebra course, no 8th grade

    standards are used. All 8th graders take Algebra PARCC. This class moves to either Honors Geometry or College Prep

    Goal 1 Explore options/cost of installing solar panels at both schools in order to increase sustainability, moving forward with green initiatives. 1st Objective: Investigate grants which could most

    effectively be utilized. 2nd Objective: Explore ways to reduce costs/raise

    funds for solar panel installation.

    Goal 2 To develop programs for our students which offer opportunities for community involvement/character development. 1st Objective: Investigate and initiate possibilities of

    after-school clubs focused on our goal. 2nd Objective: Use grant to fund clubs/classes on

    Sustainable/Green Initiative.
