Faithful Navigator’s Message

Dear Brother Knights,

I would like to wish each and every one of you a

Happy New Year!!!

We had a FANTASTIC turnout for our Knights

Christmas Party. I think Our Master Bernie

Mennemeyer said it the best “next year when I’m

not the Master you won’t forget about me will

you?” I would like to give a special shout out to

Dan Ashenfelter, Kent & Sherry Wittig, Don

Klinker and Steve Bowman for helping me set-up

the hall. Sherry & Kent came up with the best table

centerpieces. THANKS! They were the hit of the

party and everyone wanted to take them home!!!

Also, a special shout out to Kay Klinker! Your gift

exchange game was a HIT as it is every year!!!! I

would like to also thank Our Lady of the Holy Spirit

for letting us host the party. Thanks Deacon Jim!!

Last Month we decided to have our first fund raiser

to be used for our general fund. We ordered 200

“Keep Christ in Christmas” magnets and so far it

has been a success. I would like to thank each one

of you that either purchased or more importantly,

helped sell them. I will have a better grip on how it

turned out once I have collected all the monies. If

you haven’t purchased yours it’s not too late! Just

give me a call or see me at January’s meeting and I

will get you one.

The Italian dinner is coming up; the date has been

set. SAVE the date of February 6th on

your

calendar!! As in the past, the only way this is going

to be the success that it has in the past, is when ALL

of us do our part. We each have to SELL, SELL,

SELL those tickets. Help is needed selling tickets

after the masses on the weekends of Jan 23/24th

and

Jan 30/31st. Please call Lowell Brosamer or Steve

Bowman if you can help out. If you are one of those

lucky individuals that are going to be heading south

for the winter, give them out to family. Call me or

Steve Bowman to purchase your tickets. This is our

main fundraiser; it will help out 4 needy young kids

get the education that God has planned for each of

them. I challenged each of you go SELL, SELL,

SELL!!!!!!

Our next Family Mass is Saturday January 23rd to

be held at Holy Family 4:30 pm. I would like to ask

each one of you that attends Family Mass to put on

your thinking cap! Well now that you have it on,

think back some time ago and remember those

Knights that used to come to Family Mass. Now for

the challenge: call that Knight or when you see him

in church, Kroger, or Wally World invite he and his

wife. If he needs regalia, we have some at the hall

or they can come as they are! Let’s just get them

there!!

I look forward to seeing all of you at our regular

meeting January 20th

at 7:00pm.

Chalice Card Update

Do you have a chalice card? When is the last time

you reviewed your card? Do you remember where

your chalice will be donated? Did you know monies

can be donated to St. T in lieu of a chalice?

If any of your answers are No or don’t know, then

it’s time to review your card. Mike Brettl will be

bringing all the chalice records to the February
