You can encourage your child by helping with the memory work included in each lesson.The “At Home Activity” is a great opportunity for spiritual discussion with your child andshould be signed by a parent or guardian after completion.

Try working with a sibling, parent or friend doing the “wheelbarrow.” One person picks up the legs of the other who uses his or her hands to “walk” forward. When the “wheelbarrow” gets tired, change places. Discuss with a parent/guardian why working in unity is important.

Always remember that Jesus came to earth at Christmas to give us the best gift—eternal life! We celebrate His birthday on Christmas. Sing “Happy Birthday” to Jesuswith your family.

I CAN PRAISE AND WORSHIP GOD!


1. Psalm 146:2 “I will praise the LORD all my life; I will sing praise to my God as longas I live.”



2. Psalm 95:6 “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker.”


3. Romans 12:1 “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is true worship.”



Make up your own little song of praise to God and sing it to your parent or other family member. Tell God and your friends how wonderful HE IS!



I CAN FORGIVE OTHERS!


1. Colossians 3:13 “Forgive one another…Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”



2. Ephesians 4:32 “Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”


3. Matthew 6:14a “For if you forgive others when they sin against you, your heavenlyFather will also forgive you.”



Can you think of a time when someone was mean to you or hurt you? What happened?

Pray with your parent/guardian. Make sure to:

• Praise God for who He is (powerful, loving, etc.). • Thank Jesus for something He has given you . • Ask forgiveness for something you have done that does not please God (unkind words, selfishness, etc.). • Ask Jesus to help you with something. • Pray for God to help someone who is sick or hurting.

I CAN DO MY BEST!


1. Colossians 3:23a “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working forthe Lord.”

It is easy to love people who love us back. Can you think of someone who is hard to love? (Maybe the person has been unkind to you.) What is one way you can show God’s love?
