WE GOT THIS! ENCOURAGING WORDS FROM OUR GLOBAL COMMUNITY

As our Intensive & Critical Care community have been on the front lines of this

global pandemic, we want to thank you for all your hard work, dedication, and

bravery in this very uncertain time. This message comes from your colleagues

around the world. We invite you to share this with your networks and join us in

lifting up our fellow #HealthcareHeroes. Tell us your story too by tagging

@WCICC21#WeGotThis.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nnLauLqmfNo&fe

ature=youtu.be

TYLENOL® is looking to run a digital campaign which would share stories of hardworking nurses on the front lines and to express gratitude. This campaign is also a way to promote the Canadian Nurses Foundation’s COVID-19 Fund for Nurses and to drive further donations to the fund.

What is needed? Candid Image of the nurse (Selfie or Picture at Work), Name of Nurse, Position/title/location, Summary of their unique story.

What type of stories? • Highlight the hard work of a nurse who is currently working double duty (working & taking care of kids at home)

• Share a story of a brave nurse that have had to relocate during COVID-19 to protect their loved ones

• Tell the story of a nurse who had COVID-19 and has successfully recovered

• Showcase an example of a new/young nurse that has had to quickly adapt to the requests of today

• Share an example of a nurse who has gone above and beyond to make lift their colleagues spirit’s and make them feel welcome during this time

• Share examples of a nurse’s typical day (i.e. steps involved in putting on PPE)

• Share an example of a nurse who went above and beyond to make a patient feel at ease during COVID19 (i.e. FaceTime family members)

Where to submit photos and stories? Send submissions to the following email addresses: [email protected] (Annette Martin, Canadian Nurses Foundation) and [email protected] (Katherine Lal, Johnson & Johnson Inc.)

SURVEYS

Invitation to participate Survey of Integrative Therapy

Approaches in Critical Care (SITAC)

The aim of the survey is to explore Canadian critical and intensive care nurses’ views on incorporating integrative therapy approaches into routine critical care practice. Integrative therapies are also known as Complementary/ alternative therapies. This study has been approved by the University of Alberta Health Research Ethics Board (Study ID: Pro00090698). You are invited to complete an anonymous questionnaire on-line. The questionnaire is divided into two parts. The first section consists of 10 questions exploring views on the use of integrative therapy approaches in critical care, and the second section addresses sociodemographic and hospital data. The on-line questionnaire should take about 10 minutes to complete. The survey can be completed online by clicking the link on any computer or electronic device: Study Link: https://redcap.link/sitac2020.

Please feel free to share with your colleagues.

CACCN Members will receive monthly reminder notices between July and October 2020.
